A question concerning application of bat guano tea. Is it better to apply to surface of J.A.W.S. mix and let run through or pour into overflow pan for root uptake?

go right into ur medium i would expect leaving it in the tray for too long might not be good for your roots

Definitely better to apply to the surface. That way anything solid in the tea gets into the soil mix.

Don't forget foliar spraying. If you need to speed-feed a plant, to correct a deficiency, this is the way to go.
