Criminals are armed even in Canada. And if the cops are the same as any other big city in the world, that means only the criminals have guns, yeah that's great thinking. Here in the States, we are constitutionally commanded to have guns inorder to over throw a tyranical government if one should ever form. We are not armed to kill one another but rather to overthrow tyranny. Do they get used incorrectly? Yes, but not any more so than in any other country where they are illegal.
Someone show me how Canada for instance has lower crime rates as a result of no guns? Not last time I checked. If your government became tyranical, how would anyone over throw and defend against it? I could go clean cold off on this subject so better end my tirade and get brain back on weed.

- Canada has a higher per capita gun ownership that the states
- Canada has a much lower manslaughter by firearms rate: 64 times less! (Canada is ranked 9th, the US 1st).

This topic has become much like a religious debate, where no one will convince the other of their pov. Although I have very strong feelings about this issue, this is a cannabis forum, and not gun central. I had to respond to RD's statements before pulling out of this argument. Done and done.

I think a major factor in gun murder between USA and Canada is that people are much closer together then in Canada from my prior dicking around the interweb looking at demographics and such. So here u get pissed dude is in the be t apartment. Seems in Canada people are spread out more, for the most part, and if u have to drive aways to kill someone u lose that immediate want to kill someone temper. I'd say most cases of gun homicides are spur of the moment. Then plotting to kill someone.
