invested in a volcano about two month ago and haven't looked back since. Used to be a heavy cig smoker and stopped at the "time of purchase". I didn't feel able to smoke the herb for about two years as I suffered from panic attacks and the combination of tabacco and herb didn't work for me in that aspect. Now I can finally enjoy my chosen way of life again thanks to the wonderful world of vaporising. True, volcano is very expensive but came as a recommendation from a good friend and at that time we didn't even realise there were alternatives. Noticed somebody asking about the difference in effect between smoking and vaporising. To me Vaporising is what I want out of the weed: a controllable, trippy high that doesn't give you pulpitations, hyperventilation or a cottonwoool mouth. We love the different types of high you can produce depending on the heat setting (number seven is nice! - if you wanna go flying go straight number 8/9, bit of a waste but nice if a good whack is what you fancy at the time). In terms of ecconomy we are saving stacks of money as the weed goes so much further (4 hits out of a joints worth) and we make choc brownies out of the leftovers so we reckon we've got our money back already on what we saved on tobacco alone. Anyway, I'm rambling on.

There must be some psychoactive that is removed from vape mist or else you wouldn't feel a thing off of the leavings in choco milk or what have you. This might be very strain dependent.
It all has to do with temperature. THC vaporizes at around 200c or 392f. THC is the main player in a very wide array of cannabinoids, many of which probably play into the quality and type of stone. Some cannabinoids have a higher vaporization temperature than THC. I saw an interview once with the guy who owns vriptech, he suggested that to get what he called a "full-spectrum" high, one has to vaporize at a little higher temperature. It seems the cannabinoids which vaporize at a little higher temp are integral to the experience of the more body centered stone.
I myself have never noticed any loss of quality of high from vaporizing versus smoking. In fact, I find that smoking just doesn't seem to cut it any more. No matter how good the weed the stone from smoking seems undistinct, somewhat lacking and of short duration. With vaporizing I still get a sedative stone from indicas and an up stone from sativas, but what seems to change is the overall high is much more powerful. Most newbies to the vaporizer are quite stunned after one good hit.
