Tell us what he says. I have been interested in the vapor genie for awhile. I too love the outdoors, and vaporizing outside would be very nice. In the mean time, try using a magnifying glass on sunny days. With a little practice you can get close to vaporizing.

invested in a volcano about two month ago and haven't looked back since. Used to be a heavy cig smoker and stopped at the "time of purchase". I didn't feel able to smoke the herb for about two years as I suffered from panic attacks and the combination of tabacco and herb didn't work for me in that aspect. Now I can finally enjoy my chosen way of life again thanks to the wonderful world of vaporising. True, volcano is very expensive but came as a recommendation from a good friend and at that time we didn't even realise there were alternatives. Noticed somebody asking about the difference in effect between smoking and vaporising. To me Vaporising is what I want out of the weed: a controllable, trippy high that doesn't give you pulpitations, hyperventilation or a cottonwoool mouth.
We love the different types of high you can produce depending on the heat setting (number seven is nice! - if you wanna go flying go straight number 8/9, bit of a waste but nice if a good whack is what you fancy at the time).
In terms of ecconomy we are saving stacks of money as the weed goes so much further (4 hits out of a joints worth) and we make choc brownies out of the leftovers so we reckon we've got our money back already on what we saved on tobacco alone.
Anyway, I'm rambling on.

I quite agree with you on the subject of vapo changing the aspect and quality of the high. I recently volcanized a bit of some type of dominant Indica that had a hashy flavour, which I'd been smoking in joints for a few weeks. Doob delivery with this one sometimes felt like a cartoon 'anvil' dropping on your head, like in the road runner cartoons, and I felt narcotized after about 30 mins. With the volcano, it was much more like smoking imported olive green inside, brown outside hash--a smoother, more ambient stone. However, lots of the crustier sativa kiddies here in BC miss the wallop they get from the high-potency strains, so they don't vape. There must be some psychoactive that is removed from vape mist or else you wouldn't feel a thing off of the leavings in choco milk or what have you. This might be very strain dependent.

Pot TV should do a vapo/multi-strain contest with med-pot smokers; they likely have this facinating topic down to a science.

all i can say is it is satisfying unlike other vaporizors in that it hits you hard in the back of the head like ol' hot knives used to and you Know your high in seconds. cost unfortunately around 1000.00 with shiping but is investment i your lungs health and high.

Chris Bennett has joked it is the "holy Grail" the perfect recpeptical to recieve the spirity of God through the Holy Sacred tree of many fruits and if they had had hot blowing air they could have saved themselves alot of trapesing through the woods.
Ive tried it at the Melting point Gallery 1111 commercial drive @ pot tv studios and Chris Bennetts museum in the basment of BCMP HQ and with the bookshop girls at the counter of BC Marijuana Party Headquarters and Bookshop 307 west hastings as well.

If someone is telling you "no medicine is smoked"or "smoke , any smoke is bad for you" rather than explane that pot smoke opens blood vessels and passages in your lungs acting AS an expectorant to bring up phlem left by nasty cigs and nicoteen which clings to passgeways and closes them down you can simply blow vapors their way and show them you use harm reduction techniques in any regard.
With the vapo geni youll KNOW you caught a buzz after first or second toke. Your friends will be passing cause their too high after second or third round you'll save money there and also it takes less than a bowl of pot to serve like 5 or more in a round.

It all has to do with temperature. THC vaporizes at around 200c or 392f. THC is the main player in a very wide array of cannabinoids, many of which probably play into the quality and type of stone. Some cannabinoids have a higher vaporization temperature than THC. I saw an interview once with the guy who owns vriptech, he suggested that to get what he called a "full-spectrum" high, one has to vaporize at a little higher temperature. It seems the cannabinoids which vaporize at a little higher temp are integral to the experience of the more body centered stone.

I myself have never noticed any loss of quality of high from vaporizing versus smoking. In fact, I find that smoking just doesn't seem to cut it any more. No matter how good the weed the stone from smoking seems undistinct, somewhat lacking and of short duration. With vaporizing I still get a sedative stone from indicas and an up stone from sativas, but what seems to change is the overall high is much more powerful. Most newbies to the vaporizer are quite stunned after one good hit.
