I agree with 'Daego' .I'd rather be vaping out of a Volcano,than from a flower pot .With the flower pot you would be bound to get some smoke & the taste of burnt plastic after the hose touches the pan sounds nasty .But the best vaporiser is the one that works for you .And there is no good spending 1K on buds if you dont have an efficient means of vaping them .i am completely satisfied with my Verdamper , but out of a choice of a flower pot & state of the art Volcano .I take the Volcano no worries.You cannot put a price on your health.Health is way more important than money .So if you are too tight to spend the extra money on a good vape , then yours lungs are the ones that suffer.Think about it , it's only common sense .

Yeah good point, but I blaze out of bongs every weekend anyways so it's not going to make a huge difference to my lungs if i use a homemade vapo. Nothin beats a creamy bongload

You have yet to try a "good" vaporizer then. You are putting your herb on a "hot plate", much like the BC Vaporizers that used a soldering iron with a glass dome. You can't imagine how much better using hot air to pass over your herb is than what you are using. May I suggest you looking into a vaporbrothers vaporizer, they can be had for around $100 (ebay) and you will love it. Difference of night and day compared to yours...

terpenes are what gives cannabis its sweet taste and stinky smell this molecule vape's at lower temps than thc.. So yes changing the knob does effect the taste when vaping w/ the volcano believe it or not.. If you wanna try tastey but not get the medical effects of cannabis vape some in a volcano at temp 4.5.. it will still vape some thc but will taste phenominal.. When you start upping the temp the vapor also becomes thicker vaping more cannibinoids effecting the high and the harshness of the vapor.. I find when vaping at 9 like the guy does in the madam viper vid the vapor is way to hot and the taste is not nearly as good though the stone comes on quicker and heavier alot more like smoking at high temps.. especially when doing multiple bags from one amount in the filling chamber.. when I vape hot its usually a small amount that I will only run once and get one bag out of.. I usually bust out my water pipes for roorcano's vapor bags cooled through my roor bong.. some times even the phx trinity.. I much more prefer the volcano on setting 6 for the first bag then 7 for the next.. some even prefer the volcano at 5 for the 1st bag then 6-7 for the next.. Sometimes Ill even do a 3rd bag at high temps but its usually not worth it to me.. Im not knocking the hih temp vapes but taste is effected..
the thickness of the vapor also changes when vaping at diff temps.. a bag at 4.5 will look like it has no vapor in it but taste out of this world.. 5 starts to get vapor, 6 you can see it fill the bag, and anything higher is some thick vpaor usually..
The cano is a hell of alot better than they make it out to sound in the viper vid, I was quit dispointed w/ that vid.. they need an expert running that machine like mmm me Showing all the diff techniques to it.. I would have showed how it works, filling a bag or two, taken the bag off and show how to replace it, and even clean the thing!

oops also the temp helps if you actually do you this thing for vaping multiple herbs, besides just cannabis.. diff substances vaporize at diff tmeps.. thus adjustment is neccesary..

Things have gone a bit quiet on this thread , which is a shame . So i thought i would let everyone know how the Verdamper is going .I have had it now for nearly a month i think .And in that time i have only vaped , no bongs or joints at all.Which for me is pretty amazing cos i was a real bong junkie.Vaping just beats everything else hands down & i just wish the outrageous prices of most of the top vapes would drop dramatically so that everybody could have a go.And then i'm sure you would have alot more people turning to vaping.I'm thinking of buying the Volcano valve set & decent heatgun & see what it's like to suck vapes out of a bag .But until then my Verdamper
is doing just fine.I get so much higher from it than i ever did from bongs & alot clearer too.You just cant beat it.

Id love to see you all there.. A respected OG member has a verdamper and he's in love.. I love its glass ong alss for easy cleaning though I havent got to try it first hand it seems to be one of the best vapes on the market, and I hear the creator/owner is a great guy! So onto the next thing... a steinel or makita heatgun is a grwat choice for a heatgun.. more info can be found on OG regarding which models but I know a couple higher end models have digital temp readouts..and the volcano filling chamber/mouthpiece/valve set can be found on ebay for 130$ I believe.. and I havent tried but the vriptech valloon has a fresher taste than the volcano I hear as its ALL GLASS VALVE.. but glass has the downfall of breaking so its a toss up.. you can go either way and not loose... but I hear real postive reviews about this valloon in side by side comparisons to the volcano.. and the valloon does fit on the volcano base unit = one expensive ass vape peace!
