i never did coke until my late 20's but loved it from the get go

i always remembered what my mother told me about how it messes with your head and makes your thouth patterns weird and miscalculated...and my mother was right

she also said in another conversation about drugs (i was about 14 when she said this one)
"I know your gonna experiment..and let me tell you..go ahead smoke the pot and oil (lots of oil in our town back then) those are nothing ...but stay away from all that other shit!"

did i really just listen to my mother endorse pot??? she is not a smoker and she doesn't like it...but she knows about it (dad was a smoker) and endorses the right to CHOICE...

i never realized until i screwed up how smart my mother was!

Most certainly a good idea...plus I think more people will open up about addictions & dependencies in this forum, than say, the Socializing Lounge...where you'll get answers like, "You fuckin drunk, why don't you go back with your wino buddies?"....people definitely don't need encouragement like that now, do they?

yes Z....i have seen many women do that!!! myself...i was never like that...i am a person who tries to hold control and i found the coke made me draw further into myself...which is not good either...

as for men liking it...well when i left the ex three years ago he was still hitting it hard and i do believe he still is...most men are stronger than that..but him...not so much

thanks Z! no repercussions...except the damage done to myself..but that repairs with time...i did have credit cards maxxed out and everything...now almost three years later..credit cards cleared up and i am well on my way to having a downpayment for my house!

it has been hard...but well worth it and the longer you stay clean the easier it gets...

it sucks that i did lose all of my friends...they all still use..so i just stay away...

but alas...i have new friends and they are better to me than any friends i have ever had in my life

I can't hang out in bars anymore. I can walk in to tell someone "let's go" or something, but as far as sitting there sipping on a soda while all my buddies are having a beer, no can do....& not sure if I'll ever be able to again.
I had lots of cool buddies I met drinking...friends that will go the distance for you, but I can't hang in the bars anymore shooting pool or nothing. It's a drag & hopefully I'll be able to be around drinkers again without feeling like I want a beer.
I doubt I'll ever be able to put up with drunks again though. Way too stupid....but I could relate whilst I was 1. Didn't bother me at all.
