A group shot with fluoros and HPS just coming on, Blueberry in the foreground, a pair of Northern Berry in the back, at 4.3 weeks of flowering
the verdant flush of Nature's bounty
I believe that the cannabis plant will tell you what she needs, as long as you can read the signs. One of the things I did wrong in my previous grow was to follow watering and fert regimens and schedules too closely, ignoring signs that would have led me to change the regimen. I underferted severely, slowed vegetative growth and the yields were more than disappointing off of 3 plants.
This pic is an example of reading the signs for the better. There are only 3 plants in there, and, you do not see the full canopy. The HPS makes for funny effects in lighting, making the leaves looking brown and/or yellowing. I assure you that was not the case.
Note the lush growth with very little, if any, signs of fert burn even though I ferted everyday since 2 weeks after germination. I used worm castings (WC) in soil-less mix (4:3:2 Promix B:Vermiculite:WC) for this grow. I would wait until the plant was just about to wilt from dryness, watered with pure water right before before I fert with 3/4 strength nutes with Thrive Alive (TA) or Superthrive (ST). Wait until plant is about to show signs of wilt, then the next watering was only with 1/2 strength nutes with TA or ST. Then repeat. I did not apply this regimen with every watering, though. Sometimes the growth seemed to slow considerably over a day or two, so I would apply pure water and 3/4 nutes even if I had just done it previously. If the leaves started to curl up or become too dry to the touch, I would immediatley do a pure water watering followed immediately with 1/2 nutes with ST or TA.
Seems to have worked well with these two strains in both vegetative and generative growth stages

turtle, thank you. Yes, I like the warmth HPS gives as well. I have been experimenting with different combinations. Somewhere I just read about covering the flash with tissue paper to diffuse the flash. That would be cool...

Greetings:
So, all of you have been waiting with abated breath for my update?
Anyways, my Blueberry belle has put on little weight since you last saw her.
To illustrate, here she was at 4.6 wks into flowering
waxing youth
Here she is at 6.8 wks flowering. Chunky!
