Dammit. I bought The Wall on DVD a couple years ago, and now they just came out with the deluxe edition...

I think I might buy it anyways, comes with a sweet poster. I think my dvd has different special features anyways.

i listened to Echoes once when i was tripping on acid, alone in my dark bedroom, and i thought i was underwater in a reef and i saw sharks and fishes floating around. and i looked up at my ceiling and i could see seagulls flying above the water, screaming my name. it was INTENSE

Great Gig in the Sky captivates me still every time I hear it even after having heard it over a million times through headphones over the years
Roger Waters is a musical and lyrical genius.

Ya that is a beautiful song. While alot of Dark Side is written by Roger, I thought that particular tune was written by Richard Wright. It's mostly keys (his instrument) and I thought I remembered seeing Wright as the composer, but I could be mistaken.

You could very well be right. Nevertheless, Roger Waters is the cat's meow for me.

Cheers,
Carol

Yes, Roger is a great writer, but I also love their early stuff with Syd. Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Saucerful of Secrets, and Relics have a great space rock trippy feel to them. I love the first track off Saucerful, Let There Be More Light.

Sadly,I don't have any updates of Syd's whereabouts?
.AND..
Hey,I had some pretty "Trippy" times in "Moms Basement's"..It wasn't usually my house,i must admit.
But it was fun, ironically where i chilled to "Floyd" also.
So Syd,if you're in your Moms basement, get the HELL OUT!! ..
Do your job, provide us "Stoners" with some tunes!!

Hey everyone,i'm stoned!!

Syd lives in the U.K. and sadly is beyond return. He has no contact with former band members and people from his past as it upsets him too much. Roger Waters and the other band members respect that and consequently haven't spoken to Syd since the early 70's. Someone took a video of him coming out of his house in the late 90's. He looked disheviled, quite bald, overweight. really sad. i just hope the guy found some peace.
