Just my curiosity here, as I do and have trimmed the fan leaves for a couple of years with very posotive results. But aren't that fan leaves mostly used for primary growth and extension of the main stem.

is that a question or a statment?

I'm thinking around 2 1/2- 3 oscars, buddy.

I'll post some pics of a Black SPice lady with similar pruning techniques. It's about half way through flowering.

Hell no, dude! It's great for such a short compact plant.

I mean, yea, a 14 footer should do more, but hell, this one isn't over 3 ft tall. That's pretty good results.

Are you suggesting that a tree is in the same category of plant.....yes simple logic does cut. Have you ever trim pallmetto grass.......shave that thing off to the ground any time of year, and it will come back even fuller. Trees are a little different, but if you cut every leaf off of it....hence topping a tree., grapevine, plametto grass.......the list could run through every plant in the book, but yes it would come back.
