I like Neil, BUT his voice in some songs makes me want to take a greasy shit on myself.

Actually met him once in Toronto many years ago in Yorkville before it became yuppyville. Very talented, but a voice only a mother could love and not much hope of him winning any good looks compotition real soon either. Go figure, now he has the Order of Canada and still rocks them in the real world.

Neil-Young's "Tell Me Why" Sailing heart-ships thru broken harbors Out on the waves in the night Still the searcher must ride the dark horse Racing alone in his fright. Tell me why, tell me why Is it hard to make arrangements with yourself, When your old enough to repay but young enough to sell? Tell me lies later, come and see me I’ll be around for a while. I am lonely but you can free me All in the way that you smile Tell me why, tell me why Is it hard to make arrangements with yourself, When your old enough to repay but young enough to sell? Tell me why, tell me why Tell me why, tell me why

The Needle & the Damage Done is my favorite too, Smitty...like I'm real surprised we picked the same 1. Also Cinnamon Girl is another fave of mine. Neil was the epitomy of late 60s & early 70s counter-culture lifestyle, imo. His wardrobe [& mine] hasn't changed in 30 yrs...flannel shirts, jeans, any shoes that are comfortable [who cares what they look like] & a bag of 'doja' & as long as your stomach was full, not a care in the world. I miss those days of sitting in the park, letting your freak flag fly...
