Subject: Any good MMM 2004 Audio/Video files out there?

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hello Activists!

I have seen some nice audio and video files. One italian mmm acitivst
website used bittorrent to make a trailer available. Thats wonderfull,
but it does not work anymore ( - why? ). It is a good begin of using
shared broadcastmedia.

So here is my question: Where is the rest?
I'd like to get any taped or digitalized video and audio content in
good quality. Analog content will be digitalized and send to you for
archival. Please get in contact with me.

thanx,
martin

Awesome report, Flash! As I read through I found myself drawn in, I really felt like I was on the VanC streets with you with sweet pot smoke wafting through the air, with Bob Marley's sweet grooves inspiring the imaginations of the hundreds of people around me.

Lessons learned from this year:

1) Get more posters printed. 10,000 is half as much as could be distributed.
2) Get the "free posters" advertizing out earlier.
3) Do not print the time on the poster.
4) Check the poster over carefully.
5) A colorful, historically based cannabis image would be attractive as both propaganja and artifact.
6) More Advertizing with Terminal City and the Beat, and earlier, too.

Over-all, I say it wasn't half bad considering it was the first attempt at doing the poster out of Vansterdam. Next time it will be twice as good.

Hey Dave, I think it would be a really good idea to solicit input from various MMM cities for ways to improve the event for next year. Now, while it's fresh on peoples minds, would be the time to "debrief" other organizers to hear about ideas that did and didn't work well. This collection of ideas would help all MMM cities for next year to be more organized and to be as effective as possible.

Not just the ones that are mailed out, but also the free posters that people can download and adapt to their cities. I can upload some posters and flyers to my free Geocities site. It gives 3 gigabytes of free bandwidth a month, and I only have 11 pages on it now since it doesn't allow FTP loading.

My other free websites allow FTP loading, but only give 1 gigabyte a month of free bandwidth per month. I have around 130 pages on each of those free web hosts.

So I only use the Geocities site for a few high-volume pages. That takes some of the bandwidth burden off the lower-bandwidth free web hosts.

So I have lots of bandwidth to spare on the Geocities site that could be used for downloadable MMM posters, handbills, flyers, etc. that people worldwide could use, edit, print out, photocopy, cut and paste, etc.

Trumels bad news with his workers hard hat trying to be man of the people when i doubt hes ever worked contruction in his life.
He is constantly berating the work of Marc Emery, Queens council john conroy, and toronto lawyer alan young.
His own atempt of a religious defence failed miserably .
His chief complaint about Marc is that Marc spoke before him at an event went into overtime and the self promoting messianic lunatic trumel got bumpped off the speakers list and he's never recovered.
Ive banned maybe two people in this last 3 or 4 years on this forum . Trumel was the first on my list when he tried his bullshit in here.
When i see a post by him on server lists i delete it rather than try to decipher it.
I wish there was a freelance journalist back east that could replace his bias rants.

How about YOU? Keep us informed here in B.C.

Hey Ho peacepuff, No where did I infer, imply or otherwise state the assertion you elude to here. We lost track at your confusion over my Hitler youth comment....

Sorry if my comments were confusing.

Thanks for explaining the comment about the Nazi's and the Hitler Youth. Dictators shit on anybody and anything.

As Hitler, who didn't give a damn for anyone but his hate, along with the droves of sheeple that followed the Nazi scatology, compliments of scapegoat politics and militarism. War sacrifices children to the fires of hell, to the beasts and dictators, they are just another "resource" to (ab)use for the glory of the Fatherland.

This is why I felt the topic was related to abuse issues with youth etc. insofar as how Nazi-like and fascistic the very Prohibition laws themselves operate and the propaganda in the WOD itself, how it is specifically designed to hone FEAR and DREAD, and especially ply the fear-mongering hysteria of hatred, to "protect the youth" etc. from the dreaded "reefer madness".

Crossfire
Stevie Ray Vaughan

Day by day night after night,
blinded by the neon lights
Hurry here hustlin' there,
no one's got the time to spare
Money's tight nothin' free,
won't somebody come and rescue me
I am stranded, caught in the crossfire
Stranded, caught in the crossfire

Tooth for tooth eye for an eye,
sell your soul just to buy buy buy
Beggin' a dollar stealin' a dime,
come on can't you see that I
I am stranded, caught in the crossfire
I am stranded, caught in the crossfire

I need some kind of kindness,
some kind of sympathy oh no
We're stranded, caught in the crossfire

Save the strong lose the weak,
never turning the other cheek
Trust nobody don't be no fool,
whatever happened to the golden rule
We got stranded, caught in the crossfire
We got stranded, caught in the crossfire
We got stranded, caught in the crossfire
Stranded, caught in the crossfire

David, thank you for doing the posters! I agree, the time was confusing b/c our event started at 4 pm, and on the top of the poster it stated 2 pm ( I realize that is the universal time, but we were working on other things...)

So, yes, next time only include the time in the box at the bottom. I want to thank you and all other people involved in the producation and cost of the posters. They were great, and I am looking forward to next year!!!

Cannabian Day...I cannot volunteer to lead this one b/c my brothers wedding is the day after, and I have to help with the production of it, our hearts will be with you all across Canada, and I love the song!!!

Peace adn Progress, Sarah
