Love DWC really easy to maintain with small setups and yields can be fantastic I tend to use flood and drain for larger grows but it rules for small cuboard type setups

I use Pythoff from Flairform and I just got DNA Hydro Sparkle (have not used yet) to keep the brown slime fungus off the roots.
I'm building a recirculating DWC that does not require air stones or air pumps.
I'll post plans , if it works ok. I'd just get some 35% peroxide and save a lot of dough over that BS root saving stuff. I use it all the time and have never had a root problem for ten years in DWC. Once you see that slime it's getting close to the end for your plants. Reduce temps with ice if you have to, lots of H2O2 or flashy expensive root curing stuff. Chopping off the roots works well too. Reduces the amount of physillium present in the root zone and promotes new growth. I'd like to see the recirculating set-up if you got it going.

Wow!!! I've been thinking of growing for a long while and after reading all 24 pages of this thread, I'm going to go forward with this process thanks to arcin and also Earl. I Have no growing experience but after reading this and my basic construction skills I plan to sey up a little grow to see how it works out. My whole thing from what I've been reading is what type of light is best. From what I've read Arcin uses 2 400w lights yet some people swear by 1000w. Can anyone give me any advice.

Pumps: A simple aquarium pump is all that is required. They are cheap and readily available. Department stores, pet shops, hardwares. Try and get the type with dual/two outlets. This way you can aerate more buckets. Even more buy adding Tee fittings. Notice, the smaller pump on the left has a single air outlet. The larger one has two. I recently priced a larger pump at the hydro shop, much higher output capacity, 6 outlets, $400.00. Not necessary. aNs Yeah, looks great! It would take so many LEDs to get it to work, and a bunch of cash. I think that you would be better off with offering the enough lighting.
