Good tutorial! Pure logic. I'm in week 3-4 of my first ever seed to smoke DWC. 3 plants going great..such fast growth. Started with ph neutral then adjusted to 5.7 and Kaboom, watch them grow! My seeds germed on the 18th of September, now I'm nearing the end of week 4 and I switched to 12/12 yesterday..plants 6.5 to 8" tall. Plants just thrive if the Req's are met...

Those Sterilite containers are perfect: they are super rigid, paint well, and hold 5 us gallons perfectly...right to 1/2 inch under the bottom of a 3 inch net pot seated flush with the top. There were made for cloning and small plants.

arcinNsparkin this was a great thread. You did a wonderful job of laying it all out in it's simplicity. People are always scared of growing hydro because they have been told by others that it is hard, difficult, only for the experienced, etc. I say, bullshit. Hydroponic growing is as simplistic as it gets. If you have a natural green thumb, you should not be scared of hydro. Peace,
