#554864 - 07/07/03 07:34 PM What kind of animal digs up a 3ft plant?

The reason I think it was an animal is because it was dug up. A person would have just cut it down or pulled it up. Two of my nicest plants are now gone. There was another one near them and it was left alone. What the fuck? I thought they were safe after they reached about a foot.

Ahhh man, so sorry to hear that homie!Being I know your area of operation quite well...two things digging that out that late, raccoon or one of those fucking mutts people with no brains, dropped off along side of the roads. If I was a betting man, which I am,I would bet that you check your plants often and the last time you checked you left a scent trail behind.Old Rover picked up your human scent trail {since humans to them mean possible food}and followed it straight to the crop.Naturally you touched your grow and maybe even did a little feeding.Too much shit going on there for Rover, had to dig it up to see what maybe was buried there.Raccoon will do it earlier on since the hole was freshly dug.Look for dog tracks next time and maybe go get you some cover scent along the way.Wild dogs has always been a problem in that neck of the woods!

A similar happened to me. I think it might have been the blood meal I mixed in with the soil. I'm not sure, but if you put something like blood meal in the soil, that might attract predators to your plants of some sort. The animal that dug mine up was either a coyote or fox, because it left a fresh dropping.

I did not see any claw marks. The dirt looked like it was kicked or dug out of the hole. I saw shovel marks but those could be the ones I made. If a person stole them, wouldnt they have just cut them down? The one in the middle of the patch is still there, leading me to believe it was an animal. Maybe they didnt see that one? The other two were a little more obvious.
