This is an important point. The only beef I get from front-line police officers about the current state of the law (or non-law) is that they've lost the power to extort information. In other words, they aren't concerned about "chaos" from the lack of an enforceable pot law, they miss being able to make snitches out of people.
I think it has been vastly overstated the extent to which the police release people caught with small amounts of cannabis with only a warning. Those that do get off that way have usually provided information in a quid pro quo.

Brian how would someone use your case in the best way to get a proper no law ruling in Manitoba? As I understand it there was no seperation between the possesion and cultivation for personal use in your case?
Is this true?

after the third anualhempology 101 convention...in which emery spoke....the cannabis buyers club was raided 3 times...the cops hate emery ...they fear him...if the goverment could kill like in america they would kill emery first...he is the number one enemy...if your going to have emery around wear a mask..i would...emery is a threat to the very existance to some cops...maybe 30%,,,,,,,, his seed sales from canada cannot be tracked like all those sent in america.....

Marc I hope I can make it to edmonton or calgary but I am doubtful as I have no car insurance. (damn dirty ticket). If I make it there, I will hopefull bring others, if I don't make it. I will definatly tell others.
