Anyone ever had whipits? They are whip cream cartriges. They look like small co2 tubes. My friend built a lil machine to crack them open and the air goes into a ballon. You take the ballon breath it all in, then back into the ballon and in again. Repeatly. You'll start laughin and I guess you'll feel all num and like your floating. Looks like great fun and the whipits are cheap to buy. Anyone ever had or know any dangers etc about them?

Whipits are dumb IMO. Lets see what happens when you cut oxygen off to your brain.....Duh you get buzzed....

Dissociatives definitely cause brain damage if used heavily.
One sub-anaesthetic "line dose" of ketamine, an equivalent dose of PCP, or a third plateau DXM dose, is probably at least as damaging to your brain as a few day "bender" on hard liquor, and possibly more so because it affects specific areas of the brain.
The risk of brain damage is worse the longer you stay high at any given time; constant moderate-dose use is probably just as damaging as a brief, high-dose use.
Reaching the anaesthetic level is exceedingly hard on your brain.
Ketamine is probably the least harmful, PCP the most, and DXM somewhere in the middle, but this is a rough guesstimate. Nitrous oxide is brief acting, but it too may be dangerous; it is also known to damage both central and peripheral nerves by depleting vitamin B12


Some people may be more susceptible to Olney's lesions than others. There is, to my knowledge, NO way of knowing how susceptible you are.

In addition to brain damage, these drugs can also trigger psychosis, limbic seizures, temporal lability, depression, and other neurological and psychological diseases much more frequently than other types of drugs. The dissociatives can be highly addictive to a minority of users. In comparison, the marijuana and the serotonergic psychedelics (LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, peyote, DMT) are many times safer.

These are some dissociative drugs you might encounter
Street Drugs:

Ketamine (K, Special-K, Vitamin-K), in injection bottles or as powder
Dextromethorphan (DXM), in capsules or as powder
PCP (Angel Dust, Embalming Fluid, etc.), powder, liquid, or on smoking material
Over-The-Counter and Quasi-Legal Drugs:

Dextromethorphan (DXM), available in cough syrups and pills
Nitrous Oxide ("Whippets" and iSi whipped cream chargers)
Prescription Drugs:

Ketamine (veterinary and human anaesthetic)
Tiletamine (veterinary anaesthetic)
Memantine and amantadine
Research Drugs:

Dizocilpine maleate (MK-801)

come to think of it i have a couple of those cartridge cracker thingys laying around. if some has something cool to trade for them pm me, i have no use for them anymore.

i now know that this isnt smart, but the 1st time i did a whipit i was driving and roasting a fatty bowl.....did a whipit at a stoplight and yeeeeehaaaaaaaaawwwwwww! i wish it would last a few hours that'd be great!

Yeah they're fun but Ive only done it once and dont ever plan to again, pretty bad for you, if you're gonna get something out of a balloon get nas cartridges and get all hopped up on laughing gas, at least it lasts more than the like 15 seconds a whip it does.

Nitrous is great at the peak of an LSD trip imo.

But I agree it does cause brain damage.

I humbley dissagree BUT only about special K well actually I dont think fluid K is harmful but "special K" as people call it is what you get when you let the fluid dry out to powder a fluid that meant for the vein

and IMO it does not cause massive brain damage NOR should it be lumped into a catagory with PCP, Ketamin, and DXM--Embalming fluid????(how did that get there???) and we might as well place other inhalents such as GLUE, PAINT, ETC ETC on your list....

Nitrous Oxide is no where NEAR as harmfull as any of those things..

Especially as a once in a year or every few year thing..

So I wonder what is worse for you.....

Taking a few ballons of NO2 during a trip.. ..
OR
sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for a few hours.. ..


What about when your SCUBA diving....and you have a tank of Nitrogen and helium on your back.....whats that do to you??
