Wakka, I was just checking out the damprid site and it seems it's available only at SuperWalmarts.

DampRid

After reading about it a little more, I think I'm gonna continue to use this....Everyday my humidity has been in the upper 70's and with the door open, gets into the mid60's. I just checked after adding the damprid container yesterday and it's at 48% BIG difference I'd say...we'll see when the lights go out again and the doors closed to see if it really keeps it down

hmmm! Damprid. Going out to walmart today to purchase. Maybe with my dehumidifier, new window ac unit, and damprid, I can overcome Fl hot humidity levels that usually stay around 60-65%. Been aiming for 35% along time.. Keep you posted

no place I could find here locally at all in so cal. a few places online, but I was hoping not to buy anything online for a while...
hoping rock salt works ok. just poured a bunch in some small bowls. hoping not to have to buy a humidity meter this week.

what state is the food lion in? and dreammaster where was your super wal mart? maybe it's just an area specific item?

I recently purchased a dehimid at Sears. Cost me $100 US, and that was for the 30% off floor model. It has a built in humidistat so I can regulate the humidity levels. It was worth every penny.

right on. I called the lowes and home de pot here and neither of them had it. I wonder if the salt is working. I guess I will have to get a gauge. was hoping having a few bowls full of salt would be cool.

I wonder if putting it in a pie plate would work better. more surface area maybe?
