It would be interesting to get a group together and hang out at a restaurant's outdoor seating. Order a beer in order to sit down, then toke publically at the table... Amsterdam style!

The "Speaker's Corner" booth at City TV might be an interesting idea.

Actually, I was thinking today it would be even better to go to a coffee shop with outdoor seating. Second Cup or Timothys or one of those places. It would have a better connection with the Amsterdam "coffee shop" scene.

down here in windsor the people are starting to light up ... i live near a bustling little street with lots of restaurants and gift shops, walking past one of the restaurants last week that have outdoor patio eating, I couldn't help but notice a group of people blazing a fattie... clouds of smoke rising from their table and nobody raising an eyebrow, the hundred or so people window shopping downwind were getting their fair share *sigh* this should have happened 30 years ago

this sort of thing never ever happened here in windsor till the latest court rulings, feels really nice to see people emerging from the ugly depths of prohibition, i hope it doesn't end, especially here, the prohibition capital of ontario.

God I wish I was there right now...good luck everyone hope all turns out well. If only I was in Canada...bah.

I'll be going out to vancouver this summer for a couple weeks then making my way around bc - can't wait!

Attended the puff down in Toronto, and let me tell you, it was a great experience...we got there around 4 and there were already loads of people gathered around the front of the cop shop....including a bunch of media.(all the big ones too! CTV,CityTV, Global,CBC..) Marc arrived and the crowd went nuts. He spoke to the media, for quite a long while, I think even Marc was surprised. At 4:20 we all lit up joints provided in a large part by Marc himself (awesome BC bud btw..someone obviously knows what they're doin out there). Marc answered a slew of questions from both the media and a from the couple of hundred tokers who came out to join him. It was great...Marc made some really powerful statements and what some may consider "shocking" ideas as to where this legalization of marijuana could lead to here in Ontario.
Now surprisingly, or maybe not to some, the police never once came out to bother us or take our weed...and we were there for a good 2+ hours. I think the media, or at least most of it left after about an hour or so...but Marc stuck around to talk, sign autographs and of course smoke some more bud with all of us tokers....It was an awesome afternoon, the weather was great and everything went really well. I'm pretty sure a bunch of people went down to THC, a local shop in Toronto. Unfortunately we weren't able to go, however we were in there early in the day to check it out, but we had to head home...we came from out of town and had a 2 hour trip in front of us. All and all the day was really good and we had a blast..it was even worth blowing a tire on the 401 on the way home...shitty part is, we got home just after midnight and missed all the evening news...oh well guess we'll have to wait for Newshawks to see it. Anyways just wanted to share the day with everyone...hope all that were there had as much fun as we did...and everyone who wasn't, you missed a great time, and next time get your ass out there!
