wouldn't hemp flowers fit the bill? does a hemp flower have a similar taste and look as a marijuana flower? couldn't they add a little sleeping medication to mimic the effect of a joint?

or how about the crap they sell in high times? (wizard smoke?)

or maybe, just maybe, the way marijuana makes you feel is medicine and there is no placebo for feeling well

Wouldn't work very well. Many of the medicinal effects of marijuana are caused by other cannabinoids, CBD and CBN being the most tested. These have been shown to work better than THC for seizures/spasms type disorders. You would really need a cannabinoid-free version of cannabis.
