is smoking and growing weed in canada legal is you have a disease? if so can someone tell me how i go about getting a paper or something that tells that it is legal to do it without the 5-0 busting me? i have crohn's disease which is a painful bowel disease the pills they give you dont help but the herb does. so if i can do it legal can someone tell me how to go about it?

Do get to that link for gov't of Canada and work closely with your doctor to apply. I am going thru red tape hell with Health Canada. Make sure your i's are dotted and t's are crossed. When you answer the personal questions in section 5.1 of the interim guidance document... answer every item point by point. Your physcian will have to answer section D very thoroughly... don't miss a thing.
To date (Sept 18th, 99) only 2 people in Canada have received an exemption, and thats because it was done on behalf of the courts for them...(Aids patients)
Health Canada tells me there are 20 applications currently under review...and another 80 on hold... due to a lack of information. Keep on them like a dirty shirt... keep track of your calls to them and correspondence...in case you need to show authorities at some point in time. Don't expect a miracle... this could be a long haul. But act now. Clinical trials when they start will take over 5 years... if you want to contact me to compare notes, feel free to do so, and

I am not who are looking for , but happened to be up and thought i might be of help. To use a personal post, first of all make sure you are logged in , if you are not if won't work, this is to keep the crazies off the site. Then all you have to do is click of the name of the peson to whom you want to send a private message to . For instance in this forumn where I saw your name on the area where it says posted by, i would just click on your handle and it would take me to your profile area , and at the bottom of that area will be a block that says send private. Click and it will bring up a window to send the message in. Then if you have a reply the next time you log on to the site, it will tell you. Or you can click the check private block at the top of the window at any time. I hope this helps. I know a young man in his early 20's that has CD and it makes his life pretty darn miserable. I never realized till then that it is indiscriminate in who it attacks. Use to think only old folks like me got it. Just goes to show you what I know. Peace, and welcome to this forum , I think it is going to be a favorite place for you , now that you have found it.
