I saw this post somewhere else on the forum,I'm using a dish tub $3,fish tank air bubbler $10. I cut 24,1 rotted, its taking a little longer but works.I'm at about 15 days,& just starting to see roots. In the other post it says to scrape the bottom of cutting with a razorblade.Thx Aussie for the post.

If you are going to poke holes in the lids make them approx 1" round,so that when the clones have roots developed they are easily removed without damaging them.Plasticine would probably work, also another way is to get a piece if thin foam big enough to cover the hole up,put a small slit with a razor blade and slide your cutting in.This will hold your clones up,works good for me.The water can be straight from the tap,no need to Ph adjust, you can if you want Ph 6.You can add a cloning gel also to *encourage* the root development,Clone X,Pro Gel,any of the gels would be good,or even a very mild bloom solution.Plain water works fine though.Place flouros over the top and wait. There are probably many different designs to this type of cloning. The main thing is to make it lightproof, have aeration, have light, and most of all have patience. And if at first you dont succeed then try again.I have seen rubbermaid containers with net pots filled with rocks ,and when the roots are established the grower just moves the net pot to his/her system.I prefer this way because you can do many cuttings at a time.I think I have covered most questions that may arise.Good Luck ppl Happy growing and success to all.

I have been planning on cloning some cronic plants when I grow them but I have to wait for my current plant to finish. These posts answered a few of my questions and made it seem easy to do. I have one question though, can light hit the rooting area or does this even matter?

AussieJoe: When you do it, do you let the stem of the cutting go INTO the water? OR just barely touch the water? Or hover above? Thanks for answering the questions...

I would also like to point out the importance of a clean cutting instrument. You success rate will go down horribly if you cut with something that is not clean.
