Marc Emerys outburst troubles me more than it should... He is under pressure but if you want to divide the cannabis community Mr. Emery ... You are headed in the right direction... When you get the urge to puke up this sort of nonsense ... Please take your own advice... AND SHUT THE FUCK UP!

You don't know what herbdoc215 posted.
The message has been deleted.
I don't know what he posted.
That being the case I can't see any validity in criticising anyone for anything.
It is my hope the people involved can resolve to talk it out or whatever it takes until they find a course of action everyone agrees on.
The forces aligned against you are the kind of people that can (and will) employ agents provocateurs to divide you and therefore render you impotent.

Thanks Flash for the reportage.
Perhaps I have too much time on my hands but I enjoyed it and I would swear I heard the ring of truth in it.
And I think it is a service to anyone that takes the time to avail themselves of all the information available here and on Pot_TV - I think it is a service for people to have some idea what happens to people when they're busted, who they are and what they go through. What their friends go through. What is done to them.
The devil is truly in the details.

Basically, he pleaded with all concerned to CONTINUE to push for Steve Kubby's release...as of the time of the post, Kubby still hadn't been release, and that means he has gone quite awhile with no medication.
I think he withdrew the post because he was as taken aback by Marc's rant as the rest of us.
Love,
Skink

Boballen i think you should take your own advice ,when you can finance the Canadian war, against the war on drugs then you can decide how much money to spend ,and how fast to spend it,untill then idiot your opinion is stupid.
Marc has a valid point, people that come here from the US allready know what the DEA scumm are all about , and they know that it is still illegal in Canada so they know they could be thrown in jail, and they flash american medical mj id and act like that is all they need, when they allready know better , So as much as we have taken them into our hearts we can't protect them, and so far only Marc can afford to keep helping them up here so mabe Marc only has a monthly budget and he is getting that eaten faster than it is coming in whatever, if people are afraid or unwilling to spend time in jail because they know they won't be treated well in jail, then they should be carefull of things that can land them in jail or don't be surprised when the pigs knock on there door, and try and have some money to pay there legal fees because obviously Marc can't finance the war against drugs for the whole world! Plus that was a very generous thing that Steve Tuck did for what he thought was ,the good of Medicinal users in Canada but what was he thinking giving his lifes work to a company that just got a multi million dollar contract from a corrupt scumm government, they did not need or want his seeds and the money they are making from this they should buy seeds and he could of used that money so he doesn't have to plead poverty now, it was wasted on our government which is not much better than theres. We do tell people it is better up here but we do tell them it is still illegal and you can't trust the RCMPIGS who now seem to be working for the DEA so whatch your own asses or take the consequences. So be carefull out there boys and girls they will get you if they can but i think everybody is getting it now and don't think the pigs will ever stop untill it is legal.
PS good luck and good to see they let you out instead of deporting you ,this still may come out all right in the courts but don't hold your breath because your DEA is here now The Evil Empire is spreading accross the Galaxie next stop your town anywhere in the world.

no major media reporting

I just did a search on Google and did not see anything from the major media.
I also searched CBC's website.
If you have the organization and the desire, I think it would be productive to lobby (email, phone, letters to the editor, etc...) the mainstream media to cover this.

good point freeway and well written!
It reminds me of the story of Anu
FlashGordon (veteran) 02/01/02 03:40 AM Attachment Arrival Of Anu
After smoking a pinner of some very fine award -winning 4dbc in the BC Compassion Club’s smoking room,http://thecompassionclub.org Flash waited as patiently as he could outside the door of the handicapped washroom until finally a balding, bespeckled semi- hippy with enormous knapsack emerged carrying a pie box
“Excuse me, are you Flash Gordon?” inquired the stranger , “I’ve got a link to your stories on my site and I post on Overgrow http://overgrow.com and Cannabis Culture. I’ve emailed you, we’ve spoken on IRC. Did you get married? I’m anu do you remember me? Do You ?” “Umm, sorry , excuse me..” Flash excused himself to use the can as he had no idea who the stranger was.
When he finished washing his hands, anu was still there on the other side of the door and escorted him outside the Club unable to get an apointment with Hilary.. There anu quickly revealed that he had been stopped at the border crossing into Canada. He had been searched and they had found over 1000 seeds of various strains including Aculpulco Gold x Frasure Valley, Lambsbread, Romulaaan /Strawberry Blond and top44 x Fat Pineapple. He had demanded they test the seeds for THC and then insisted that they were spinach seeds. Eventually the border guards gave them back
anu had been,of course , turned away trying to hock the seeds at Grassroots. Bringing seeds to BC was like bringing nickel to Sudbury and the Rastas had scolded him for hacking on the "LSD-like BC Bud ". He had read Dana Larsen’s editorials and had decided he had done enough idle surfing of the Net in Montana and wanted to grow in the peace and security of BC . He had tried to bring his massage table with him, as he is trained in yoga and colic massage therapy. He hoped to find security by working all day in a compassion club by giving massages. The border guards had however refused to let his table across, fearing he might use it to make a living. His car also ended up being left behind with some of his necessities on Friday Island stateside. He had visited Hempology to look for Ted Smith and SOG http://hempology.yi.org/ but had only been royally smoked up by Crakerjack and was left to fend for himself among the homeless of the capital city He had wanted to smell the CO2 clouds that Flash had written about in his report of Island Visit Three at Sombrio Beach http:// writtenbyme.com/content/54677 and had gone the previous night instead to Wreck Beach, which Flash had also mentioned in his Wreck Beach story. http://www.writtenbyme.com/content/59493 He had gone down the steep trail at Gate 6 UBC through the icy slush that the unusually inclement weather had wrought . Once there he found that there were no camp fires and that he had stepped in a bog. . He had gone to BCMP Headquarters http://bcmarijuanaparty.ca , only to find no one in Pot-TV studios http://pot-tv.net of course on a Tuesday Next door at Blunt Brothers http://bluntbros.com, dressed as he was like any other homeless person in that area, he did not feel he had been treated politely by the usual friendly staff.
He asked Flash for a Loonie. Flash, who never can spare a dime for the pan-handlers which he encounters every day on a regular basis in the city, gave in after ascertaining that this American Drug-War refugee was going to be staying that night at the Native Centre where he had cheerfully slept that morning on a bench and where he had given away the bulk of his seeds for cigarettes. He had planned to quit nicotine for the journey but somehow lost resolve when Flash handed one over together with a Canadian Twonie .
“You wouldn’t know where I could crash for a couple days and use a computer?”, anu asked. The plea struck a note of empathy in Flash’s heart. He could hardly imagine what it would be like not to be able to check his email. “Normally I would, but I’m married now. See !” Said Flash, holding up his ring finger. Flash then darted down the street, leaving the hippy to fend for himself.
Then began Flash’s pangs of guilt and Catholic flashbacks, as the verses from childhood hymns began to intone themselves in his head. “When I was hungry, you gave me to eat; When I was thirsty, you gave me to drink.; ... searching for kindness you held out your hand, now enter into the home of my Father; .. Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.”
He tried to shake it. He thought of the paranoia the last time when a camera went missing and they all thought it had been their overnight guest, Junglegeorge, and had freaked till they found it. Then Flash remembered the good times, like when they took in Quikmic when he got busted in Alaska and how he made good and had sent the buds from the Yukon. He remembered when Barndog and Pie left $50.00 for them at the BC Compassion Club after visiting and Odorless and his frequent visits and generosity. Flash recalled the Hebrew myth about Abraham coming to the door and being turned away and of angels disguised as vagrants. And he thought of the seeds. StonerVixen wouldn’t mind one or two .
Flash turned on his heel and sprinted back the few blocks to haul anu out of the hydroponic grow store and took him home to use the shower and sleep on the couch, until such time as Flash could take him down to the Pot-TV studios to talk to Chris Bennet, another of his idols and try to locate Steven Kubby . Kubby had sent out the call that the end of the world was coming and for all US drug war refugees to haul their asses to the Sunshine Coast so anu informed Flash
Flash called Marc Emery’s executive assistant. She said to tell anu that neither she nor Dana Larsen ,cannabis Culture editor , nor Steve Kubby could provide any guarantees of security or employment. She re-iterated that people must have their own resources, especially if they are moving from another country and there were immigration laws to be considered too. Steven Kubby had done it on his own. Flash emailed Kubby, the pot-tv personality, straight away. anu had to admit he was not a celebrity refugee, he didn’t even have any charges against him except for breaking a window in ‘72 while trying to get into his own apartment on a freezing day. All he had with him now of his possessions was a 1400.00 dollar Montana Prison art flute that his native in- law had given him for the journey. He hoped to sell the flute to the UBC Department of Anthropology . Amu grew sleepy under the influence Flash’s sweet and sour ribs and Flash’s Ettera ultra lite Flashevap and was soon asleep on the floor, not having rested for several days .
Steve Kubby emailed Flash back. “ The U.S. laws are very harsh and clear on these matters. As a result, I cannot have anything to do with him until he settles his status with the Canadian Government. I suggest he get $250 together and go see a good immigration attorney like Alex Stojicevic, to see how he can obtain a visa and stay in Canada legally. I would risk indictment by the U.S. government on serious charges of aiding fugitives.” The next morning ,true to his word anu parcelled out a few seeds for Flash’s wife Stoner Vixen and when asked to go to the store for a pack of smokes came back with 6 packs! and diet pepsi and a newspaper and gave Flash back his money . In the morning he had called his worried mother who was anxious to wire him 500.00 cdn. to see him through. Now he did not have to sell his flute or his seeds and could pay his own bus fare downtown to Pot-tv studios where Chris Bennet ,director of pot-tv http://pot-tv.net and husband to drug war refuge Renee Boje http://reneeboje.com was able to sit him down on the studio couch and explain that the odds of finding employment on the sunshine coast were slim. Vancouver Island did have places to camp and small towns with cheap rent and there was more of a pot culture there but that winter would make it hard and anu would still need his own resources . anu touted his ideas for upcoming shows and volunteered his services in any department but first he thought he would go rescue his car from Friday Island where he had left it parked in a free parking zone. Chris let him leave his pack at the studio while Flash showed him where the trains and busses were. With money in his pocket anu was off to see the peallers at the Flamingo Hotel and have a few beers his destiny unfulfilled . “Being manic feels good but it’s hard on those around you ..Napoleon didn’t mind being Napoleon it was his troops that suffered” cautioned Flash when he left thinking of the family anu left behind in Montana . Flash had to shake his head sadly. He bade anu godspeed on his quest . For all his spirit, talents and motivation, someone had to tell him it was a hard world, that unemployed people were a dime a dozen in BC. The plum assignments in the cannabis culture always go to people who work hardest and have contributed the longest. Its hard to know what to say to desperate strangers fleeing from Amerika with High hopes for sanctuary on the west coast with so many homeless and poor on our own doorstep
