You got the DEA pissed off and no major media covering it...doesn't sound good. Are they talking about it on talk radio, at least? Do you have talk radio there?

The only reason why they did this is because they were on fox news all over the US ,, what the fuck the DEA must go!! They are acting like little kids, they are pissed off they lost and pissed that Kubby and Tuck are willing to stand up for themselves and what they believe in and know is right... And the only thing the DEA can do is FORCE ß Canada to go after them, call fox news, and tell them ha ha see you cant just run to Canada, we will get you, we win! ….. They seem to be staging these high profile arrests and raids on the easiest targets they can find (Cannabis clubs, Ed, Kubbys exec) to brain wash the American public into thinking they are wining this sick ass war on medical marijuana and trying to send a “If you do it we will get you” kind of message .. This is another low even for the Bush administration and the DEA; both of which are the lowest forms of life on earth. We are winning the war, A war we should not be fighting in the fist place and this is what school yard bullies do when they are mad,, find any way they can to get back at you.. So beware kids the next time the terrorists attack “The other terrorists” will be right behind them raiding more cannabis clubs, locking more patients up and taking away the rest of are rights to live free and decide for ourselves!

Well I think we should thank Marc for his tremendous support and Steve Kubby for his many contributions. How many times has Marc been busted? These things are expected. Hopefully Steve will not be another casualty of war?

Still, no word on why Marc went off like that. Considering the post Tuck wrote was simply a plea for ANYONE that could to help Steve Kubby. I read the original, and I didn't read him as asking MARC EMERY for help.

The only people who know the exact state of affairs of Marc's comments are himself and the one's he holds closest to his heart.
Marc is entitled to say whatever he wants, afterall we know he has helped a lot of Canadian needs and has now been taken back a bit by having to put-off ongoing projects.
I dought if any of this was planned ahead off time so I'm sure it's of some surprise to Marc to say the least.
It's up to us on this board to show Marc a bit of respect for his endevours.
As to his thoughts, sheer frustration what else. His plate is very full and a little spilt over the edge, SO WHAT
Here's hoping that Marc and his family find comfort in themselfs if not from some so seemingly in this thread.

We do have a local talk show, but I'm working when it's on and am unable to participate.

I did get a small story into the paper about the City of Victoria passing a motion requesting the Federation of Canadian Municipalities to lobby the federal government to relax the laws on medical cannabis.

The motion came as a result of the local Cannabis Buyers Club addressing the council on the subject this month.

We could have had a hundred Flash's and jill's there and both Steve's would still be in jail or back in Amerika. I t was Marc's $$$ that saved them.
And I have to agree with Marc, all that media could have been garnered to create awareness but because of sensational comments made by certain individuals it drew a lot of heat and many of us saw it comming. We have a diffeent aproach up here in canada, and it wouldn't be the first time that we have had to talk to certain individuals about Canadian etiquette.

I'm not "greenlung," but I share his sentiment. As far as what I "do" for freedom, I volunteer thousands of hours as an editor for mapinc.org. I hope this meets your requirements to express an opinion.

My beef with Marc's post is that if you're going to bitch about what a pain it is to be a philanthropist, then don't be one. People go to him for help because he presents himself as the "Prince of Pot" and expresses pride at how he gives away the money from seed proceeds to those who needs it. My "etiquite" dictates that one does not offer their hand in assistance and then get pissed when it is accepted. But then again, I don't live in Canada.

For those of us in the US, Canada looks like a safe haven. If I were running for my life, I would probably go to Canada too, and not give a rat's ass who it bothered. And no, I wouldn't keep my mouth shut upon arrival. Not with a media willing to listen.

And it's not like we Nazi Amerikans offer nothing in return. Sure, we nazis open our mouths - ON POT-TV! Kubby has given anti-prohibitionists a considerable amount of positive ink in Canada, and has done a lot of work for Pot-tv.

Maybe I do need a lesson in Canadian Etiquite. Or maybe Canadians should get some balls and stand up to the US government, not whine about those who look for freedom elsewhere and accept help that has been offered.

Bottom line, if you're going to pony up the $$$, quit your bitching. If bailing out a couple of dying men is such a pain in your ass, then don't do it.
