A voting expert from a nonpartisan think tank on Thursday deflated the hype that new voter restrictions are necessary when he told Fox News that voter fraud was as rare as “winning the lottery.”

But I thought Bush "stole the election"?....lmao.

Now you say that voter fraud is as rare as "winning the lottery"?...

This is the problem with being a political hack...its hard to keep all the lies organized.

Bush did steal the election, his first one, not by voter fruad but by keeping people from voting.

Texas man takes down lynched chair, threatens media

The Texas man who attracted attention for lynching a chair in his yard took it down Friday while denying any racist intent behind it.

“I’m not a racist,” Bud Johnson told KEYE-TV Friday while untying the chair from a tree. “I don’t dislike any race.”

However, he confirmed that the chair was meant to symbolize President Barack Obama, an African-American, when he asked KEYE reporter Lydia Pantazes, “Haven’t you heard of the Clint Eastwood thing with the empty chair?”

In a speech at the Republican National Convention last month, Eastwood spent several minutes talking to an empty chair he introduced by saying, “I’ve got Mr. Obama sitting here.”

Johnson, who also threatened to attack the station’s cameraman, also complained about being harassed for hanging the chair, saying it was “the only place [he] had to put the damn thing.” He said he hung it on the tree because he wanted to cut the grass on the lawn.

“It has nothing to do with lynching anybody,” he insisted.

According to Burnt Orange Report, Johnson added an American flag to the hung chair Wednesday, fueling the perception that the chair was meant to symbolize President Barack Obama.

What was not mentioned here is that this man came to answer his door as the Press knocked with a Gun in hand.. FACT Folks..

Romney tax returns: What’s missing in his report?

Pundits, political partisans, and amateur CPA’s are poring over the numbers in Mitt Romney’s tax returns. What’s missing, tax experts say, are the details of Romney’s retirement account from Bain Capital, including investments in offshore accounts in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

Romney campaign demanded rules change to stack Univision forum with supporters

In a coordinated effort to appear more popular among Latino voters, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his campaign insisted on a few last-minute changes to the candidate’s participation in a Univision town hall that allowed them to pack the event with fervent Romney supporters.

According to BuzzFeed’s McKay Coppins, the Romney campaign asked the town hall’s organizers to be exempt from a previously agreed upon rule that tickets to the event be given mainly to college students. Tickets to the event were split between Univision, the University of Miami, who co-sponsored the event, and the two campaigns, with both sides agreeing to give their tickets almost exclusively to university students.

But when team Romney ran into a dearth of college supporters—they gave some of their tickets to conservative groups on campus and still had plenty of extras left over—they asked for an exemption to the rule. According to one of the moderators, Maria Elena Salinas, the Romney campaign then upped the ante, suggesting that if Univision did not grant an exception, then they would potentially need to “reschedule” the event.

Univision relented, and the Romney campaign was allowed to bus in boisterous supporters from around Florida to pack the town hall and cheer on his performance. The result was clear to viewers, who saw Romney drawing loud applause at various points during his interview. By contrast, President Obama, who sat down for the same forum the following night, received far more tempered reactions from the crowd.

In addition to the ticket rule change, the Romney campaign also reportedly demanded that Univision retape the introductory remarks made by moderator Jorge Ramos, arguing that the original introduction made Romney look bad. In that intro, Ramos noted off the bat that Romney only agreed to give the network 35 minutes of his time, while Obama had agreed to sit for a full hour.

Romney reportedly refused to go on stage when introduced, instead forcing the network to retape the segment and drop the mention of the time differential. Ultimately, the two sides compromised and the network was allowed to mention the differential at the end of the segment—though it was lost amid the cheering of the Romney supporters the campaign bussed in to the event.

Even with all the Obstruction Obama faced,,,

Bill Kristol: ‘Obama team turned around’ Bush’s financial meltdown

Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol says that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is going to have a tough time winning if the election is a referendum on President Barack Obama’s first term.

“They need to focus on the next four years,” the conservative columnist told Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday. “If this election is just about the last four years, that’s a muddy verdict.”

“Bush was president during the financial meltdown, the Obama team has turned that around pretty well,” he explained. “He’s got to make it a referendum on the choice about the next four years, and explain what Obama would do over the next four years that would be bad for the country and what he would do would be good for the country.”

Kristol added that President Barack Obama had been “rattled” on foreign policy.

“Voters are watching, turning on the TV. Embassies are being burned, there are demonstrations in Pakistan. What’s going on there? Why is it happening? What can the next president do about this? Romney should answer that question,” Kristol pointed out.

“If they just go back to mindlessly reminding people for the 5,000th time, ‘Guess what? The economy’s not great,’ they will waste the next 10 days.”

I remember well when Rush Bimbo got out of the Hospital in his last visit saying their nothing wrong with the American Medical system... It worked well for him... It is the best in the World.. Why would anyone want to change that???

Romney: Health care ‘through emergency rooms’ is sufficient

On a Sunday interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes,” Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney claimed that the poor already have health insurance because emergency rooms are obligated by law to treat anyone who comes in.

“Does the government have a responsibility to provide health care to the 50 million Americans who don’t have it today?” asked CBS’ Scott Pelley.

“Well, we do provide care for people who don’t have insurance, people — we — if someone has a heart attack, they don’t sit in their apartment and — and die. We — we pick them up in an ambulance, and take them to the hospital, and give them care,” Romney said. “And different states have different ways of providing for that care.”

Pelley pointed out, “That’s the most expensive way to do it.”

“Diff — different, again, different states have different ways of doing that. Some — some provide that care through clinics. Some provide the care through emergency rooms. In my state, we found a solution that worked for my state,” Romney explained. “But I wouldn’t take what we did in Massachusetts and say to Texas, ‘You’ve got to take the Massachusetts model.’”

As Sarah Kliff points out for the Washington Post, the Emergency Medical Treatment Active and Labor Act is the law that has required hospitals to stabilize someone with a life-threatening condition regardless of health insurance status since 1986. But even with this law, it doesn’t guarantee treatment in emergency rooms. Kliff points to a study published in the journal Health Affairs that documented many hospitals manage to avoid treating those without coverage.

“The ambulance drove past several for-profit hospitals much closer to her home en route to Denver Health Medical Center. The ambulance attendants reportedly explained to the patient’s husband that the facilities they were bypassing did not treat uninsured patients. The patient remained in Denver Health’s medical intensive care unit for nearly a week, incurring charges of $66,619,” the study said.

Additionally, many people have been hunted by collections agencies for treatment they’ve received in emergency rooms. The Huffington Post‘s Jeffrey Young has followed the efforts of Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson (D), who investigated Accretive Health, a Minnesota company that Swanson says has gone too far in aggressively pursuing hospital billing and debt collection. Bruce Folken, a patient at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota was asked as he was treated, “Do you want to pay now?”

In July, Minnesota banned Accretive Health from doing business in the state for at least six years and settled a lawsuit the state filed against them for $2.5 million.
