I've run one very similar. Same tank and pump, just longer tubes or plastic fence posts is what they actually are. Mine was a 30 site. If you have any questions on specifics of that machine let me know.

my water from the tap runs at about 240 ppm , well the meter reads 24 but it says to multiply by 10...i was woundering if i can use store bought distilled water to use ..or i am not sure what that water in those machines are at the grocery stores are ..is that ro water .we have a machine that you fill the jugs up right there your self ..i'll have check it out my next trip ..

Some Walmarts have ro water. Did ya try bubbbling your water for a day to see if that helps???

i havent been running any bubble stones lately ..i used to use them in my tea buskets ..but i was finding i was getting a build up in my pots of soil and burning my plants ..i have since started to just run straight nutes and mix it by hand instead of letting it bubble for days ..but i will fire up a few if you think it will drop my ppm numbers ..i guess i'll just try it and see what happens ..

ok so i picked up my ph meter yesterday and i see it has no solution for calibrating in it .I'll be heading back to the hydro store today for the solution..it seems to me i read somewhere that ro water has a ph of 7..is this right ..i am asking because i need to keep my tip of the meter wet so it doesn't dry out and was just going to put it in a glass of ro water to keep it moist ..also i am buying the ro water for 59 cents a gal ..pretty cheap i figure it wont break me as i am not sure how long i will run this set up..it depends on how much of an advantage i get from it ..and how much extra work it makes for me ..i will be still running my organic soil grow at the same time ..just in case i have a melt down and kill all in the aero ..lol ..thanks for the help guys ..

You should read the instructions that came with the meter, my hanna 98129 instructions specifically say to not expose the tip to distilled/ro/deionized water.

The ph meters I've seen all have storage solutions for the tips. I don't know what they actually are, but they're some kind of chemical at a tds higher than the meter can read.

Mine didn't come with a storage solution. I just stick in tap water..

i picked up rockwool cubes the other day and i see they need to be ph'd ..i never new ya had to set the ph on them..down to 5.5 i think it says ..
