I agree with it being used medically. The federal government does not. They arrest the medically approved patient and close up shops that have been approved by certain local governments in California.

Its to bad the govenment did not actually listen to people. Here in canada we have real wingnut running our country . Even though the Courts here and the senate has made reccomendations , the little bugger will not listen . He may think he is a hero but he is a zero. The top courts will defeat His tough on crime bill . It seems you americas have made more progress On drug reform and us canadians are going backwards. All around the world People are waking up and changing drug policy for the better except canada. We have always have taking pride of being a compassioate country , but are slowly being turned into place that is not at all.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, most countries have enacted laws against the cultivation, possession or transfer of cannabis. These laws have impacted adversely on the cannabis plant's cultivation for non-recreational purposes, but there are many regions where, under certain circumstances, handling of cannabis is legal or licensed.

I voted for more rights since marijuana is banned. Had the authorities been treating it as another medicine, it would be perfectly sane to vote for similar rights.
