the darker one is that color because it is made with dark dark purple trim if i would have made bubble my water would have looked like kool aid This may be a dumb question, but do anthocyanins dissolve the same way chlorophyll A and B dissolve in acyclic alcoholic solutions? i.e. will the butane turn purple when using purple trim to make BHO? I'm not calling BS, I just want to know. Also, great tut Fulvic. It was a pleasure to read and thank you for sharing. One of the challenges of writing procedures like this, is writing in a way that others can understand it and I think you've done that very well. Great job.

Here is the revised procedure: Required Materials - flowers
- 1000 mL Pyrex wide mouth Erlenmeyer flask with polypropylene screw cap
- 2000 mL Pyrex heavy duty Griffin beaker
- butane (Colibri, Colton, David Ross, Dunhill, Lucienne, Newport, Sarome, Unilight)
- 95-100% undenatured ethanol (16 fl oz)
- acetone (32 fl oz)
- dry ice (10 lbs)
- two stage vacuum pump and chamber
- magnetic stirring plate and PTFE stir bar
Fulvic, Thank you very much for your measured, careful scientific approach to BHO, and for the same approach to recording your SOP and posting it here. I have saved this for future reference. I have no problem following along with your procedure, thanks to a dash of organic chemistry experience. What I would like to know is where you acquired some of your materials and instruments. Specifically the flasks, beaker, magnetic stir plate, undenatured ethanol, acetone, and above all the vacuum pump and chamber. Also, what is your source for butane? I have made butane hash oil many times before, in a crude and simple way with no additional solvents, and no vacuum chamber. I look forward to the possibility of elevating my methods. Thanks again.
