From what I can see, flowering has begun though harvesting won't be until near end of October ... I'm impressed by all the areas that have hairs and future bud sites, wow would be great to have a monster crop.

Wow, thank you so much, I hadn't even given this much thought at all. I will go to Home Depot and get something like you mention plus some sort of burlap for those very cold nights in late september and october. Much appreciated.

Thank you, I appreciate the advice. This time around, I gave it a shoot with bag seeds with zero knowledge of growing and not a clue as to what they are. I'm going to go buy some burlap to cover them up at night once it begins to get too cold outside, I'm also thinking of adding a layer of mulch or earth up around the bottom of the stalk and cover that up loosely with some burlap to help prevent frost from getting to the roots too soon. I'll be buying well identified seeds for next year, I will look in to those you have suggested. Still crossing fingers for a good harvest all the same. A little advice for you. You are gonna need to harvest before the first frost. I'm in Ontario as well, and with the strains your growing that are just starting to flower now, you will not get them all the way to maturity here in Ontario. Hope the cold weather does not come in early! If you can cover them up at night from frost. Once they get hit by frost the cannabinoid production will cease, and you will start getting bud rot. For the future, get your hands on some beans that finish in the first few weeks of Sept. Early Wonder Skunk or a EWS hybrid is a good one for Ontario. Also the auto flowering strains finish up early. Good luck with your harvest, last years weather demolished much of my crop because of early frost and snow!

So, I just placed a wire mesh around one of my plants and with the help of 4 wooden pegs, it will stay in place. This plant is getting very bushy and is flowering, I can actually see the beginning of buds. Hoping this set up prevents it from falling over. http://forum.grasscity.com/photopost/sho...-in&cat=500
