Can somebody help with and answer: Does Canada allow a foreigner temporarily to test medical Marijuana as painkiller?

I suffered 21 years ago, during my military service a slipped disk; and a spinal operation was performed.
Since then I have frequently to rely on medication like Tramadol or Oxycodone&Acetaminophen, to keep the level of pain to a reasonable level.
After all this years, my body shows side effects to the chemicals.

PS: Where I live at present, the possession of Marijuana brings you to jail with caning or they even chop your head of...

I didn't know they cut people's heads off in Australia for cannabis use. Seems our Aussie members would have mentioned this before now. Must be bodies ALL OVER Nimbin.

If you are denied adequate pain relief in your country of origin or current residence, I would hope that Canada would accept you as a refugee.

Good luck with that. I could be mistaken, but I doubt immigration Canada would accept an application for refugee status based on med cannabis laws in oppressive countries. In an ideal world, maybe...

I don't see how they could reject the application of a patient who had a demonstrable medical use for marihuana which would result in deprivation of liberty/personal security in the patient's home country.

Inability to access medication, even life-saving drugs, is not an argument for immigration status. Applicants claiming physical, emotional or economic hardships, political oppression, even threat of jail are not guaranteed entry. Lack of medibles just doesn't make the grade.

From what I read on here lots of folks in Canada are being denied also. I doubt they'll put you ahead of their own people.
