I like to free-hand when I harvest, I will get out my x100 microscope and have a look for the perfect day to harvest. may end up harvesting a few top colas before the rest.

Never a bad idea, particularly when first growing, or growing a strain for the first time. Unless you have decent side lighting, chopping the tops and letting the rest stay under 12/12 clearly gives the lower stuff a chance to put on weight. Just make sure the trichs are at the stage you want, or you may end up with heavy heavy stuff

yeah my side lighting is not the greatest, the blueberry plants are forsure maturing the fastest, probly will harvest the sage last. ( very leafy buds on the sage)

What's the % cloudy ?

yeah its very cloudy couldn't really give a percentage. and my blueberry is pretty much clear

Woot, are you not finding 100x to be a little too much ? I think you may find 20-40x to be easier to work with, as you will have a much wider field of view, yet still easily make out individual trich heads.

I like my 130 x usb microscope. No trying to get eyeball, and lenses all figured out, just take a tiny snip, put into tray, and look at pc monitor. They are less than 30 bux these days.

well its a 60x and 100x so I look at it the x60 first then the 100x to get a real good look, plus it was only 5$ on ebay lol
