Hi All,

We are currently experiencing some yellowing on leaves on 7 of our 21 Super skunks plants.
Feed: vegetative growth 2 parts feed E.C of .6-.8
Grow medium, clay balls with a small rockwook cube where they are cloned in.
Top feed watering at a rate of lights on every two hours for 15min
Lights 3 x 400watts
Ph kept at 6.0
Wk 4 of Veg,.. tank change was on Monday and today Wednesday they are not looking any better.

We think they are experiencing a Nitrogen deficiency, and am contemplating dumping the tank and flushing for 3-4 day with straight H2O of ph 6.0. Then add a fresh tank with just a chlorosis additive called Dr Repair at the same feed E.C strength of .6 to .8 to bring them back. Wait to see some improvements in color

Could you guys check out the pics and suggest the best ways to treat this deficiency IF it is N.

Cheers

Pd we live in Australian so some of the products might not be available here so if you suggest any go with generic brands would help

Looks chlerotic to me. I agree with your plan, should make everything happier. Cannot suggest any particular additive, as I grow in dirt, but any good nitrogen source will do the job.

good luck

Thanks guys.

Flushed for 5 days and just last night gave a low feed with E.C of .2 and used Dr Repair to bring the EC up to .6-.8 it a good additive to treat chlerosis.

They are still yellow but not as bad. Hoping they pick up before next week as they really need to be put into flower.

That link is great weedmen. ill have to put aside a fair bit of time to get through that one day.

never keep any women waiting, especially mumma. haha. But they are allowed to keep us waiting every day of the week ey.

ill check back in soon hopefully with good news.

I have a question... You EC meter, what unit does it read in?
I assume that because of the low numbers it is reading in decisiemens per metre (dS/m–1)
If that is the case, your TDS (multiply by 0.68) is pretty low. I calculated it at 512 ppm.
The plants look healthy, for the most part... Just hungry.
One thing I suggest to my students is to gently ramp up the nutrient concentration until the plant starts showing signs of shock and then back the concentration down by 10%. If you are continuing to grow the same strain, these numbers will translate to subsequent grows.
Unless I am mistaken, Super Skunk is a really tough strain and will tolerate rather high levels of nutes.... You should be able to go up to EC 1.2 to 1.4 (800ppm to 950ppm) with no issues, other than really green, fast growing plants.

May I ask, where did you get the 0.6 to 0.8 numbers? If they were the recommended dosage for veggies or houseplants you can double it.

Peace...
Fred.
