3 POUNDS per GALLON???? Good grief, You'd be better off offering them a leg... Even at $3 a gallon that is insane...

In NA, Canada in particular and British Columbia to be specific we have vending machines at the grocers that puke out 5 gallons for about $3... Even with a small hydro system that is doable.

Being that you are in Britain, and as it rains a lot there, (sorta like here), I suggest you work on collecting rain water and using that... Now that the chemtrails are basically gone, it should be really nice water.

Or better yet, get your own RO unit and undercut the thieving Garden center... Sell a boatload of water and get a nice little income too...

So I emailed BioBizz to see what they had to say about a possible deficiency or lockout due to water contamination or PH issues and here is there reply:

Sorry for your troubles! In 95% of all cases we handle, the deficiency is actually an overdose. You seem to suffer from a nutrient lock out. This is why your plants look like they need more, and burn when you give it immediately.

Do not use any pH- and water your plants for a week with only water. Normal tab water. You can use some alg-a-mic to relief the plants of the stress if you like. Afterwards: just some water and half the dosage of Biobizz. See how your plants respond and take it from there. The key to success is this simple grandmom’s wisdom:” in case of doubt, give less instead of more” So less nutrients, less water and most of all, no pH-

What comes to mind when issues like this crop up is that some water has the same stuff in it as the nutrients or ferts... This alters the profile of the mix significantly. If one is running the ragged edge as most Cannabis growers do, the change will result in high levels of some things that can react with other things in the mix causing a significant shift in the chemistry. There are hard water formulations for most of the major brands out there and if one is using ground water or in this case spring water, it is likely to have some stuff like calcium or magnesium, sulfur, phosphates or other things that change the balance of the nutrient. It's a crap shoot, usually, but with the advanced nutes available today, any contamination in the water will alter your mix. Even super stable nutes like Supernatural still require a good quality source of water. Once you deal with the water issue, like buying water or making your own, the nutes perform amazingly well.

I've been on here giving the same advice for more years than I have digits to count on and invariably, the advice is the same.. Flush with good water and only use good water. If your water is suspect, change it.

In reality, hydro (F&D), soilless, organic and DWC are really easy... Anyone can do it and do it well with only a very shallow learning curve. But if you don't have good water, and I mean GOOD water, you are going to have problems. This is not just for Cannabis either... It holds true for veggies, fruits, cactus or flowers, (which I totally recommend ANY grower get into as well as tending the ladies), though mushrooms are a totally different bag of shake... If you are a bit anal and OCD, one can do mushrooms... they are scary fussy.

So there ya go P.o.G... Not such a mystery after all.

Peace...
Fred.
