Lol I've read this stuff on the internet on web pages about various plants like for instance on page talkd about people using birth control on rose bushes and others using a woman's one day for her flower garden . U can look it up on net yourself and see but I was thinking like the calcium and mag and potassium and other substances that our body needs as well as our plants . are they not the same potassium and cal/ mag that we need or is it a different potassium and cal / mag and vitamins ?

I'm planning on grinding up some of these Vit. C tabs I have and feeding it to my next grow and maybe a capsule of B complex too. Doubt it will hurt anything and it might help. I've heard about people using BC pills on plants too but what it does and where I would get some are the unknowns. My mom used to put an aspirin in the water for the Xmas tree to keep the needles from falling off and in the water for cut flowers to keep them fresh longer too. The standard CalMag tablets could probably be crushed up and given to plants. Tho dolomite will accomplish the same thing and is lots cheaper. Whether the plants will be able to utilize vitamins and minerals made for human consumption is another thing as well. Tho I would think the minerals would be OK in dirt as the microbes would likely convert it to a form the plants could use. Or it might make the microbes healthier so they could do their jobs better. Probably some studies out there on the old interweb if one were to look hard enough.

Not so much as why as does it work ,I was reading up on what I could give the plants as substitute the ferts. Like for the potassium I was told to use molasses .shit like that but I found that stuff on the web and started reading more on it and figured if anyone would have used them I could find them here
