I have four clones that I started kinda late.
They run on a timer with a soaker hose. Check out my GL for pics. The hose has holes in it and waters 10min a day.
I need to think of a way to get nutrients to the plants because I'm only able to check it like once a month.

Any ideas? I was thinking of adding a "Y" hose then one of those bottle things that is used to water lawns and stuff.

Any other ideas to get food to the plants something on the ground near the plant? I would totally care for these babies myself instead of having everything automated if I had the time.

I just did more research on the garden feeder. Looks like I can just buy one and then put it between two hoses and it will work with the tube with holes.

found this basically what I had in mind. smile

I wonder how often that bottle needs to be refilled.
I saw one that was a quart but it didn't look like it can attach two hoses.

Don't overlook preparing the holes well before the plants go into the ground, sometimes this can be all the difference in the end.

Simo has it bang on: next time, stick a few fish heads in the hole before planting.

I'd be careful when burying food as a fertilizer. I know someone who has done this, added left overs from our fish feast. His plants got dug up not long after being buried with the fishes. It was either wildlife or a neighbors dog.

yes i agree and can relate to what the guy said..had a patch dug up after thinking i was doing what the indians did ..i opened up the fish bellys and planted right in the stomack cavaty and came back the very next day and found them all dug up and torn apart..its all a learning thing..lol

i would suggest you bury them very deep and make sure you dont leave any stink from them around the patch or you may find a mess the next visit ..

i would do like simo said and prepare the soil ahead of time ..you can use blood and bone meals that take a little time to break down and taken in by the plants ..[blood meal also good animal repellent.]..do this a couple days before planting and it should hold them till you can return ..then you can top dress each time you return ..you can also use compost wraped in an old tshirt and bury it next to each plant ..or you could bury a bucket with holes drilled in the sides and just throw some orgainic nutes in it so it leaches in to the ground and every time it rains it will over flow and feed them ...i have used all these things in the past ..the best way is to find a swamp and just let nature do her thing ..the water from swamps holds tons of great things for your plants ..hope this helps..

Always a good idea to prepare the hole you're going to be implanting later... wink
