(fyi, I'm just kidding, I try to be a peacemaker and don't torment little atheist kids) That's good for your health 'cause if I had ever caught some bible-thumping, holy-rollin' a-hole like you pulling that crap on my kids he'd be standing before his maker PDQ. He'd better hope he was right with his god 'cause he wouldn't have no time to repent for this latest sin.

Jesus is an avatar for the ultimate human being We can achieve his level of perfection, evolving from son of man to son of god, if we choose to. The bible is a metaphor for the journey that each of us must go through, in our lives one way or another.
In the beginning was the simple, innocent child like nature, trusting and naive. It did not even know about deception. But deception exists in the world and preys on the naive, so it was inevitable. She had to take that bite. She had to put the fruit in her mouth. And from then on came the sudden change, maturity, adulthood. Their eyes were opened they knew they were naked. They had to leave the house of their father when he was angry with them, because they had grown into adulthood and made choices on their own, choices he disagreed with. This too was inevitable.
Familiar, all too familiar!
The succession of prophets right up to Jesus is an evolution of choices, ideas, dilemmas that a person goes through until they reach a level of understanding, and courage of their convictions. Then they are wise and willing to point out what the problem is. Then they are willing to die for what they believe.

Hey did you know Jesus wasnt born on Christmas? For one the Shepards who saw the Star would not have been in their fields, the Palestinian winters are too cold. Christmas is actually a Pagan holiday celebrating the winter solstice, a day where the living and the spirit world connect. The christmas we celebrate today is actually based off a i believe it was either a greek or roman holiday i cant remember the exact name of the holiday at the moment, but the Men would give each other presents, get drunk, have sex with each other and beat their wives, it got so bad that the Protestant Church outlawed it.
