Im in a position where I need more electricity. Someone suggested calling Enmax the local city utility company and they will for free ad more breakers or whatever they do. But I have issue with trusting a random person. How are some of you guys handling it?

Are you legit and need to conform to an inspection ?

Otherwise, it doesn't matter should a fire break out because if you have a grow thats the cause, as your both fucked by the insurance AND the cops.

Adding a sub panel and basic load calculation is pretty easy with some research & help, provided your system is up to the task in the first place.

Im legit and just want to keep legit with everything. Trying to stay on top of all the legal and want to avoid anything thats not done right.

Can I just call any electrician in the phone book or are there any that people use that are mmar friendly. And by friendly I mean they dont come back and rob me.

Ivan, the most important rule of cannabis growing is tell no one. Take a sec and re-read those last three words...

You may be asking yourself, "Ivan, you're legal, so why worry?".
The fact you have the pink papers from HC is irrelevant when it comes to thieves. Imagine you are a crook, and you hear someone close by has a med grow...kaching!! May as well put up a big neon sign on your front yard. eek

Is it possible to get a professional to wire your place without letting on what you're planning ?

My grow rooms are in the basement. I've had work done down there a few times recently, without incident (I hope!), as the rooms are behind their own closed door. I just turn off the lights while work is going on in the same or adjacent areas. Odour is taken care of as well. The last thing I want is people to find out I have a grow in my house, not to mention a lot of opiates worth serious money on the street. This is why I don't tell my neighbours about my health issues...you can't be too careful.

So, either read up and diy, or better yet, ma

Back when I grew I called an electrition and had them put in extra for the new indoor hot tub I was getting in my indoor flower garden. When he left knowing we had the base right a friend and I added wire to run to my grow room instead. When they delivered the hot tube[I really was getting one] they brought their own electrition and Ijust let him do the new hot tub wires. No questions were ever asked of me. Main thing is tell NO ONE. That friend I used was a part owner in my grow, back up for times I wasn't there he had a key to my house.

Thats the issue like you said doobie. The electrician has to walk directly through the grow room to get to the breakers. And like all of you said, I dont trust anyone coming here neither. Which leaves me with the problem of getting it done but not revealing the location. I can't do it myself, its not at all my area of expertise.

Thanks for the replies though!!!

Yea Im using the 30 amp dryer spot, the vacuflow, and two other zones that are on 2 breakers in the basement. Im pretty much maxed out downstairs. I could use another 60 amps. I feel like Im wasting my plant limit. Not even half way there.
