I find them great! Make them myself with CS. If your growing out in the wild, not able to check regularly for males, nice to come back to and find all female plants, without a bunch of seeds in them.

Obviously there are still mixed opinions out there, some swear by feminized seeds while others have nothing but issues with them. The best choice is to stick with a good breeder, but they too cannot overcome this issue as it is inherent in the product. My conclusion is that in the future I will no longer employ feminized seeds, although they have their place and uses, my grow room must be seed free, even 10 is 10 to many. In all the years of growing the only time I have ever had hermies is when I have employed feminized seeds. So it's not me, but the seed itself is genetically predispositioned to hermie. I know some of you disagree, to you feminized seeds are god sent, to me they are from the pit of hell.

I have tried fem seeds twice, both grows had there problems and concerns.

I was/have been hopeful that converting to fem seeds would be an answer to this fucked up law of 5 or less plants law we have.
I am not happy with the idea of just 5 plants but haveing just 5 will assure I will not go to jail and I doubt whether I would have any problems with the boys in blue being I just have 5 plants.

I appreciated the fact a person could drop a package of seeds into some rockwool 2 weeks before harvest and be ready to transplant when the biggies have been chopped.

I also appreciated the idea of the variety available but as posted 10 seeds is just 10 to many.

Im not trying to boost/dampen anyone's sales. Im not affiliated with any of these breeders.I have grown lots of stuff, and plenty of fem beens. IMHO this beans are ruining the industry.Fem beans create problems. They do have applications, just like pesticides have applications lol.Making the fem seeds in my experience creates WEAKER plants then you started with, that are MUCH more sensitive to the environment.I have grown strong fem beans. Some breeder are better than others. With that being said the same strain would be just as good if not better if its not feminized.I don't like fem seeds.Fem seeds have wrecked the gene pool over the years and stifled innovation IMO.People are very limited with fem beans, have to deal with herms and other bs. What's worse is then these banks try to steal each others shit and wind up creating MASSIVELY unstable genetics because there copying fem seeds that are already not super stable and then again forking there own fem lines. After this happens a couple times i believe something changes and peoples plants get covered in seeds as commonly seen where they where void generations before.I think it may be that a stable fem lines stability (herm) will change after a couple runs of feminizing, to the point where herms get more and more common every generation of fems. Then you put together the fact that 70%+ of fem genes are all the same watered down generic stolen rewashed piss and you will understand stories of people getting a couple thousand seeds from a herm lol.Just think if this even happens a little (very likely) most fem banks are passing around crap. Basically as they rip each others shit off they charge less and less, i beleive quality degrades FAST when breeding fems without the true parents. You get unstable garbage. I personally don't buy/grow/even deal with fems anymore. To ME its a gimmick .I understand it can have its uses.

My experiences with fem seeds are only good ones .I have only grown fem seeds and have not had any issues with hermi or anything else .I popped some free regular seeds this grow for the first time and waiting to see whats male is a pain in the ass .As most things are I think its a matter of opinion and what works for you .Fem seeds work for me .

My last grow I started 15 regular seeds and all but 4 were males. Even though this is only bad luck Iīm going with femīs next time around.

Fwiw I too dislike fem'd seeds, but for reasons not yet mentioned. As an amateur pollen-chucker, I want males! Besides, the steady stream of hermy horror stories has me backing away from these over-priced little surprise packages.

They may have their place in some gardens, just not mine.

I haven't had any bad experiences with feminized seeds. I have seen hermie flowers, but they have all sprouted so late in the bud cycle that there just wasn't enough time left to have any consequences. I even have a mother that's a feminized plant, hasn't produced a hermie flower yet.

The thing I don't like about feminized seeds is the business. Selling seeds that only produce female plants makes growers dependent upon the seed companies. And on top of that, not all the fem seed producers out there apply good breeding practices, introducing a lot of undesirable traits into the gene pool. And on top of that, they want to charge us 20-50% more for the mutated genetics.

If you've made any feminized seeds on your own, you know the production cost is low. Way low.

Stability of the offspring is dependent upon the stability of mom. If she hermied because you flipped the lights on once when it was supposed to be dark, expect lots of hermies in the offspring. If she is resistant to all but repetitive exposure to harsh chemicals, the offspring will also be resistant.

ive had mixed results with fems... it always seems like stress is the factor that will turn them herm. either inconsistant light leaks and they seem to be real sensative to higher ambient temps. usually they seem to wanna herm around week 5/6/7 i always was like oh they are just trying to continue their species ...but most likely it is stress issue.let me put it this way you find one or two beans at harvest then the plant is trying to continue its species but if you find 25/100+ then it was stress.

I should add that my only hermie experience was with femmed seeds.
