Why is there even a president in the first place. Shouldn't the Congress and the Senate be able to run the country without a commander-n-chief.

Part of congress's job is to keep the pres. in check. THE pres. keeps congress in check. THE supreme c on what is bestourt oversees both to make sure they both follow the rules.[I.E. our constutition] The system was set up for both sides and both parties to work inside that framework. But now we have both sides refusing to work together and compermise on what is best for all. I admit the Rep.s seem to be more entrenched than the Dems. but both are at fault with all sides trying to get elected when neither side has the whole answer. If we get the money out we might get a govt. that does it's best for all not just the highest bidder.

In theory that's correct. Unfortunately, the congress and Presidents have been working together to dismantle the constitutional protections for the citizens. The supreme court rarely goes against their joint policies. And the checks and balances only work when these people truly oppose each other.

It's pretty cut and dried. Congress can make laws. President can veto or sign law. Supreme court can declare law unconstitutional or constitutional. Congress can override presidential veto with enough votes. No one can override Supreme Court. When they work together, the US citizens lose.

Actually, the Supreme Court can be overridden. They just have to make an erroneous decision in which it is obvious that they did something that is not in the best interests of the U.S. Of course, the people who have to come to this conclusion, are Congress, and namely the President. So yes, if the Pres and Congress work together with the Supreme Court against the U.S. public, there are no more checks and balances.

But he needs $150,000 to get into debates. Plus we must get most crooks out of Congress & our state legislatures, to be sure his win results in legalization. GWTJ

I've sent my money now what we need is to get everyone we each know to look at Johnson and get him to 15% support so he can be in the presidential debates.

We need everyone we know to VOTE congress out of office over the next 6 years and quit worrying about a powerless meaningless figurehead.

Worry about the folks who MAKE the laws, and create the budgets which FUCK OVER the world and the USA. That's the Senators and Representatives. President is only there to distract the stupids from the real causes of a fucked up USA> CONGRESS.

If they are in office vote them out. There's not a dimes worth of difference between the 2 parties because asa soon as they get in they start taking orders from the same people that bought the last person in that office. Only when they see enough folks voted out will they start to think no matter what the fat cats pay I can't get elected unless I keep the people happy, and maybe change things.
