I was wondering if the potency of my seeded plants will be less than sinsemilla weed. They are frosty with dense buds and look great,, except i know there are seeds lurking in there.Still have a few weeks till i can sample. What am i to expect??

Not as potent. Might be good, but not as potent. I would guess they got pollinated late in the game.

sorry but that is why everyone wants sensi, it is better. What happens is this. When the plant is producing seed, all of it's energy go into that endeavor. When it has been deprived of reproduction, the plant will go into overdrive attempting to produce those seeds that are just not coming, as a result sensimilla is birthed with lots and lots of bud and trichomes.

Geez... funny how all that 'not as potent' Colombian & Hawaiian back in the day (70's/80's) would lay ya out just fine.. seeds & all.

I have to agree that there IS A mild drop in potential once a plant is seeded, however if it is allowed to mature properly in an ideal environment, the potency will still be high -- I've had a number of pollination issues, an 1-2mm seeds throughout your colas is more aesthetically displeasing than anything.

Now the BIG problem here is in PURCHASED buds. Seeds, especially in dried bud, are far more DENSE than surrounding plant tissue, meaning a higher MASS per volume, and since cannabis is generally purchased by weight, a quarter quickly turns from 7g of smoke-able product to 4-5g + a few mature seeds.

I've never experienced a noticeable drop in potency with seeded bud, but as Darkorpse says - start with potent genes and you'll be fine. The main thing I've noticed is the amount of seeds produced far exceeds the amount of smokeable material left once the seeds have been removed.

I was growing then too and guess what? Seeded bud then sucked just as bad as seeded bud today does.

Don't fret, take it as a learning experience. Trouble shoot how they got in there and make sure it doesn't happen again. Your smoke will be a little less potent but will it be noticable?

I've been producing seeds for a while now: started out pollinating individual branches, but now I simply keep a female in a smaller pot and use her solely for making babies.

Although I do notice a crop in potency, it's really not that much - at least for me. It may take a few extra puffs to get a similar effect as sensi.. so ? What I am trying to say it definitely harvest and smoke the seed-riddled bud; you won't be disappointed.
