NAACP official: Romney ‘rigged crowd’ by having blacks ‘flown in’

“That means that Mitt Romney rigged the crowd to support him there so he could go on TV and say, ‘You know, actually I got a lot of support among African American leaders,’” Schultz noted.

“Apparently, that’s what the case is,” Shelton agreed. “They are bringing people in that they know will support his agenda from other places that aren’t active with the NAACP. These are people that were actually brought in to provide the cheering for him so there will be some support for him along those lines.”

While Romney did receive some sparse cheers and applause during the speech, the loudest reaction came when the crowd booed him for vowing to repeal “Obamacare.”

And your point is? All Pol.s control their crowds for bigger cheers so what? We need people to listen and make an informed choice.

Maddow: Romney’s primary Bain defense has crumbled

One of the key political defenses former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) has turned to throughout the years — that he left Bain, the equity firm he founded, in 1999 and therefore should not be held accountable for what the company did thereafter — has crumbled into dust thanks to the work of a couple of intrepid reporters from The Boston Globe, who learned that the company still listed him as CEO until 2002.

That defense has protected Romney time after time over the years when opponents hit him over his private equity firm’s decisions to ship jobs overseas and shutter whole companies to make a profit. But no longer.

Appearing on MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show on Thursday night, Globe reporter Christopher Rowland explained that the paper will not be retracting his story despite the Romney campaign’s insistence that it was not accurate.

“The paper trail that they created over those three years really paints a totally different picture of Mitt Romney’s involvement with the firm,” he said. “If you look at the paperwork alone, it shows that he was the man in charge. That’s a big, startling change from the way that they’ve described it over the years.”

Dem group’s document dump dishes dirt on Republican VP hopefuls

“Veep Mistakes” is a project launched today by the liberal super PAC American Bridge 21st Century has released its extensive dossiers on three of the most buzzed-about politicos who could serve as possible running-mates to presumptive Republican nominee Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Ma). The book-sized documents about Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN), Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) and Florida’s Sen. Marco Rubio (R) are available as .pdf documents via the domain VeepMistakes.com. American Bridge specializes in “opposition research,” the art and science of gathering dirt on one’s political opponents.

The documents on each candidate come with an extensive library of video clips and meticulously detail each man’s failings and public embarrassments, then pinpoint their key weaknesses. Each features a “Top Hits” summary at the beginning of each book, and all three contain reams of research of each man’s positions, all designed to serve as a blueprint for taking them down in the fall.

Here is just more Stupidity and Bullsh--...

Romney adviser: NASA ‘outsourced’ to Russia by Obama ‘management eunuchs’

Former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu on Monday attempted to defend GOP hopeful Mitt Romney’s links to jobs that Bain Capital helped send overseas by claiming that President Barack Obama “outsourced” NASA’s Shuttle program to Russia — something actually orchestrated by former President George W. Bush.

Over the weekend, Senate majority whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) said that Romney was “running away from his company, Bain Capital, like a scalded cat” because he didn’t want to be associated with jobs that were sent to countries like China by the companies it invested in.

On Monday, Sununu attempted to flip the outsourcing argument back on President Barack Obama and “the management eunuchs at the White House.”

“You want to talk outsourcing?” Sununu asked CNN’s Soledad O’Brien. “Let’s go back to the Solyndra, Fisker, BrightSource, First Wind — all of grants that were given to cronies, to people who bundled, to people who contributed to Obama.”

“In fact, we had an event yesterday that wasn’t well reported,” he continued. “We launched a U.S. astronaut up to the space station. But you know how she was launched? She was launched on a Russian spacecraft because President Obama has outsourced a major portion of the U.S. space program to the Russians.”

“So, let’s stop playing games with this outsourcing distortion.”

Only 12 hours earlier, the conservative Drudge Report had featured an all-caps headline reading, “OUTSOURCED IN SPACE: NASA SENDS ASTRONAUT ON RUSSIAN ROCKET” that linked to an Investors Business Daily columnist Andrew Malcolm — who was previously listed as number 28 on Salon’s “Hack List” — calling the mission “real Obama outsourcing.”

But it was it was president Bush in 2004 who announced that the Shuttle program would be retired before the Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle and Ares 1 launcher was ready to take American astronauts into space.

In 2008, Bush signed a waiver allowing U.S. astronauts to fly to the International Space Station aboard Russian Soyuz vehicles beyond 2011.

Most folks are so caught up in hating Obama they never look at all the facts that lead back to Bush. But that said vote them all out of office not a dimes real difference between them.
