Home invasion is COMPLETELY different from stalking someone in the woods.If you shoot the guy and he dies, it's murder whether you own the property or not. If you only maim him and he has any kind of sense, he will file both criminal and civil charges, put you in jail, and take that piece of land if you own it. However, most petty criminals are not very smart and don't have much sense.

Personally, I believe the definition of gun control is hitting your target. I also have a concealed carry license because the metropolis I live in can be less than friendly. But that doesn't mean it's ok shoot people because they piss me off.

Sorry Haley I have to disagree with that. A good example of this is 9/11 They didnt file crimminal charges but they did kill thousands of people. If they would have been dispatched of eariler, 9/11 couldn't have happened.

Human rights have taken our society and turned it upside down. 100 years ago I could kill you for trespassing, You RESPECTED other people,their stuff and you learnt to keep your comments to yourself.

It's hard for me as a Canadian to understand the American mind-set when it comes to guns. Personally, and this is just my opinion, I believe the world would be a better place if firearms were banned. (that is bound to stir things up!). Reminds me of the cold-war days, when both sides built bigger and bigger arsenals of nuclear death. The Cuban missile crisis brought us within a hair's breadth of a global holocaust. My point ? The idea that bigger and/or more firearms makes one safe is ridiculous.

You envision a world where only the police and the military are armed. That's a very nice thought balloon if those two groups were not VIOLENT, DANGEROUS, CORRUPT, and UNTRUSTWORTHY.
