It was needed because people are dying. I bet you think just because a few Kings and mulit-billionaires come here to use our Dr.s that proves how good our system is. For every one of them I bet 500 Americans travel overseas to get what they need. Yes the best Dr.s are here, because they can make the most money here. Not because it's such a good system. If you can afford any thing you want it's a great system but if you wait on tables, work in a nursing home, etc it's a system that might kill you. And as long as YOU have health Insurance there is no penelty or as you say tax. While I detest that this does nothing to lower cost, it was needed.

People are always dying and people are all going to suffer, live in pain, then DIE. Grow up and accept it.

Yep, and back then medical school was only a year long, no anesthetics, antibiotics, etc. etc. etc.... Would you like to live like that?

Just WHAT about it was needed? That's what i keep asking and what nobody, including you, answers. "This is a good thing" is all i hear. I might even like this "plan" I don't know. It's just that nobody seems to have any particulars. To just say we needed something to be done to improve access to health care and this is something(even tho we have NO fuking idea what) don't cut it, for me. What would be an improvement, imo, would be for the cost of ins or health care to BE LESS! Does this law do this? Nobody seems to know. So i can't say one way or the other if this was "needed" or desirable or if it wasn't.

Well Since we have the Vast knowlege of the Web, I belive most people can treat most illnesses without these Pharm Pill Pushers..

And as Far as Insurance goes I have been ripped when I needed it...

So I do what I hafta ta survive...

If we helped ourselves, and each other More, Took More Responsability for Ourselves, maybe we wouldnt have a Bloated Governement Big Brother..

You don't read real good do you Larry I've said over and over the good this does is bring healthcare to millions. Mamy working poor will most likely survive a medical condition that would not have been treated. What I'm saying about this not being the best bill is just a call for both sides to set down and get it right. There are lots of countries that have very good low cost healthcare, but all we ever hear about is the bad ones, notice we never hear about the Swiss, Dutch, Danish, Swedes, etc. While we need healthcare we also need cost reduced.

What this does is bring INSURANCE to millions (about 30 million more people) and still leaves many uninsured.

It seems it does little to nothing about quality or cost of care, IMHO.

I dunno though - I, like Congress, never sat down and read all 2700+ pages.
