In a 5-4 decision on Thursday, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the individual mandate in President Barack Obama’s health care law is constitutional.

Well this ought to stir the pot up. I don't see how anyone can not see we need this. Yes it cost but not having health care cost us more money in the long run and we get nothing.

i agree we need a health care system to help patients and protect their assets from hospital liens.

i don't know if this plan is what we hope it is, but it is a start.

True! But we have a party [Rep.s] who during the worst crisis in 50 years they claim that job one is to defeat the people choice for pres. If the Dem.s had done that you'd still be hearing the right scream TREASON! This is something they are chasing so hard not only will they not work on things like student loans, the jobs act, etc. but even if it was their idea they act like it will end the world.

TC, you talk like "them dam republicans" just gotta slam up the works if they've got a politocal axe to grind. Like it's sumpin' special or germain to republicans. They' ALL the same, far as i can see.
My ? about all this is, what does it mean to me? Do i just get an extra tax if i don't have ins? Does that mean if i pay my "tax" do i have health coverage?
Or is it just more of my fuking livelihood i have to give over, with no benefit?

Yes Larry they both do it but it is a matter of degree. When Bush 2 got in most Dem.s really thought he had stole that election but when 9-11 happened most fell in line and he got everything he said he needed to keep us safe. When Obama got elected during the wost economy in 70 years the Rep.s started working on defeating him and the hell with all else till he's gone. Even Rep. ideas are voted against in block just to hurt the Dem.s outlook. I can't say how good this will be but was needed. But until we get the money out[no Lobbiest] I don't think this can do what we need at a cost we can afford but we must start somewhere and this is it.

So the government can force us to purchase an overpriced product from a private company. How 'liberal'. blah

Well we wanted the govt. to do it like Medi-care but wasn't the lib.s that wanted to keep the Insurance Co.s in it. After all this was Newt's idea first copied by Rommy. It put forth because the lib.s thought the Rep.s would at least try to work things out on their own idea.

That's just ridiculous. Just WHAT about it was needed?? Sounds like Pelosi. "Gotta pass this thing to see what's in it"!(what a douche bag!) HOW does this help anyone? That's the thing i can't seem to find anyone saying ANYWHERE. This appears to be the largest, most egregious intrusion into one's personal life i have witnessed. Now, just by being born in Amerika, you owe. Maybe if we just refuse we could just be incarcerated and then ALL our health needs would be taken care of.

A goddam "regulation nation" full of entitled zombies isn't what made the usa someplace memorable or desirable that promoted self reliance and personal freedom. I am more and more ashamed of the good old usa. I'm afraid our best is behind us.
