Just end the designated grower part of the program. Viola! Problem solved. I agree and know of people who are on the 'free medicine' ride. They get their package and the first thing they do is start to sell 'only a bit' to 'help with money'...but it's already free - and now they are selling it to reap a pure profit. This is on top of the DG who is making large in most cases.
The DG program should be ended, period. It is the reason for the coming changes at all. HC should leave the medi/grower alone, I for one could not afford to buy my medicine if I had to and I know I am not alone. By that logic, personal production should be abolished as well... Getting rid of DG's won't solve the problem, as a vast amount of PATIENTS who grow themselves are selling off extra... BOTH groups have people that give the whole program a bad name, don't think for a second that patients aren't taking advantage of their own legal grows. What your saying is "Fuck the people who are so ill they can't grow themselves, who gives a shit about them..."

But what about the approved medi user who is unable to manage growing for themselves (for whatever reason), and cannot afford HC's future plan of supply ? Why should THEY be singled out and put through this BS alone. EDIT: Didn't see Phar's post before responding. Personally, I think/feel things should be just left as is and how about 'regulators/cops/whatever' just do their fucking jobs and go after those abusing the current system.

Hey guys I'm considering getting a designated grower. Can anyone recommend any sites? I've heard of www.getagrower.ca among others but I'm not too sure. I can't afford to grow my own and nor do I have the time/money to do so. Any advice would be appreciated.

Their good, they try to match personalities as well as medical requirements, granted, their typical in how the growers they find work, free meds to the patient etc. Generally they prefer 10g/day+ limits, but I don't believe they've ever turned anyone down due to limit.

No, most home-based growers that I know do NOT light up a 49 plant license in a warehouse with 50k watts of light!! IT IS NOT THE SAME. A person at home selling a oz here and there is a lot different than a DG pumping out pounds and pounds and pounds (and pounds).
