No, one has one limit, the other has a different one, Photocopy it, and keep the Photocopy with you.
As for the original question, I am unsure. They both are identical except for the issue date. The limit is the same. Thats what I did before, was just have a photocopy on me.

As for the original question, I am unsure. Bad advice on keeping the copy with you. Keep the copy in a safe place and keep the original on you. The actual pink paper OR the convenience card are your license and a photo copy of either of them is not valid ID. Apply the logic to other forms of ID and you will understand why I am saying that I think this is REALLY bad advice. Show up at the border with a photocopy of your passport and expect that to work? Show an officer a photocopy of your drivers license and think they will let you go on your way? Not likely in either case and really not likely when it comes to a document such as this one. Fog Ducker, it is my opinion that the original license is no longer valid and if you have amended your license the new one overrides the old one. If you had been given a new card the number on that card would have changed by the letter at the end of it. Ending in -A means first license of that year. -B means the second license issued in the year. I am not familiar with the numbering of the certificates but understand that a change means a change and one expires. Yes, the date on the card still shows the license as valid but that's because it was issued that way and can't be changed. They (HC) just hope you send it in as requested in compliance with their regulations. cannagirl

I personally carry a photocopy. If they (HC) actually included an IDcard I would carry that instead but alas they didn't and probably never will anymore. A legal sized doc is a pain in the butt, however isn't that why HC have it done that way?

No, unfortunately, cannagirl is right on this... But watch a court actually penalize someone for it... very doubtful
