Vaporization covers a wide spectrum of temprature and usage.

From atomizing, at low tempartures, which causes a solid to be transformed into a vapor. This type (atom/aerosolized) of vap seems most common, and the most repsonseable for emphysema.

What Promethius and the bong vap, is most similar to is "hot knives". This was an old practice of heating up 2 metal knives until they glowed red hot. Then placing a small bit of hash inbetween them, essentially burning them at a low, CONTROLED temprature.

To avoid confusion, I have decided to call this type method "Ignition"

Here's a somewhat interesting insight into heat transferance.

If you've done much experimenting with cooking or grilling. There is a wild difference in how a piece of meat for example cooks over an open flame (combustion) or how differently it cooks when you use the exact same flame. but simply put a screen over it (broiler) or a solid metal sheet (grill)

I'm also reminded of Fantastic Four annual #4 (Battle of the human torches) Where the senior human torch staggers the younger touch with a fireball of controlled tempratures known only to him...

My understanding of igniting herb is it will produce smoke not vapour .I cant see the difference between lighting it with your lighter and doing what your doing except your way is more complicated .
