So, if a guy has alot of old miracle grow soil, isn't the veggie matter in the mg basically the same as the others? Isn't it just the fert balls that make mg shitty? Just wondering, as i've got alot of old mg and feel like once the fert balls are all used up it'd be about the same. Thought i'd just add a few bags of bat guano or something. Waddya think?

waddya think? I think you need to spend the money to buy some fresh soil. As you already know MG's fert balls are not correct for MJ. Now that the soil has been used up and the newts burnd out you are thinking of using it. Why use used up soil when fresh top soil is so very cheap.

RD is bang on, as usual. Don't be cheap when it comes to your media, as after genetics, it's probably the most important link in the entire chain.
Pick up a bale of Promix; for about $20 bucks, it's cheap and a great base to start your media mixes.

larry just add that to your veggie garden bro ..you can mix better soil your self ...sunshine mix #4 is the best shit i've found ..a little guano and worm castings and everything else is in it ..lime, perilite,vermiculite,peat ...

most green houses sell it around here..its about 40 bucks a bail but i no i get about 20 or so pots filled with a bail ..and those are 3 1/2 gal pots..theres a few diffrent numbers they have and most of them are good medium but the number 4 mix seems to be the best ..it stays fluffy and drains well..try this googled site ..this is the stuff i use ..i see now there are a few that call them selfs sunshine mix ..but this stuff here is what i am talking about ..for that matter you could just see whats in it and try mixing up your own ..but i cant imagin you could mix it any cheaper your self ..its what most nurserys use ..

I used sunshine #4 for quite a few years, it was great stuff. The stuff acts just like soil, just very little nutrient value.

I think of it as the first step to hydro because of the fact that you control what goes in it. I found that if you did not add some perlite it would have a tendency to pack by the end of the cycle.

Pick up some decent 2 or 3 part nutrients and you'll have an easy go of thenew products.

Yes you weed will grow big but it will be so tough to smoke and no one will want it..

You will get exactly what you put in..
If you cheap out... You get cheap shit weed..

But if thats all you have?? You do what you can..
Just please use Final Phase ten days before you harvest..
This will cut off uptake completely after it is applied..
Your plants will take on water and nothing else at this point.. Now Flush for ten days before you harvest..
