I joined CC about a year ago after I was diagnosed with cancer. I was able to keep my mind occupied while I went through HELL.

I am very grateful to have had this site and the people in my time of need.

Since my experience I have been telling other patients about this GREAT site and they should sign up and check it out!

WELL....They Can't! For some reason they have not been approved. No reasons, no emails, nothing! Some of these people have time limits, I know them and they could really be a benifet for the community.

I emailed Jody but have not recieved anything from her either.

What do I tell these people...What is Admin doing...Anyone know whats up.

A little professionalism wold go a long way in getting the RIGHT kind of people on this site. You cannot punish good people because of one bad idiot.

This site is losing popularity and sadly I do not understand why people are being left out.

I have lost so much respect for this site because of their actions or lack of them.

Its been months come on guys do something about it already! People are dying to get in here (literally)

We are on lockdown because of a recent asshole (excuse my language) that had nothing better to do but try to destroy the forums for everybody.

Sadly, in a way he has succeeded. Realistically, he exposed the fact that the Admins care not about this forum. To the point that they can't even put new Admins in charge that would take care of the forum.

We asked that mods be allowed to approve new members. Instead, it went to admin only, and since that day, no new members. We, the mods, have asked to have one of our members appointed as admin JUST to deal with new members, but unfortunately, this forum is lowest priority. There has been a promise of a new Vbulletin forum in the next month, and we are hoping that solves the problems.

that really sucks, because this is a wonderful community and I am very grateful for it and it's valuable members. Admittedly, yes, I am aware of pure asstards that come in here, and I think the problem was that for a while there ANYONE could join, thus one asstard having multiple accounts and harrassing everyone.

I sure hope that there will be a way that people can come in as newbies again and glean and contribute, for that is what makes this community a community.

i believe ron paul said it best ..is it to lock out others or to lock us in ..lol..naw this is a important topic as there's info on these boards that can save folks lives ..i think as a community we should have a littler control over who's admitted and who's left out but still believe we should give everyone a chance to prove their worth to the community..

There was no PROMISE for the new forum to be up in the next month! Karlis said it would take a 'couple' months to roll out the upgrades, and requested help sorting the bugs from the mods. I dont think it was intended to be 'pblic' yet mikey!!! Jodie has been down in Mississippi and currently she is in ontario preparing to speak at idea city. So yeah, she hasnt had a lot of extra time to devote to fixing the forums. I dont think that means that the forum is 'lowest' priority. In fact anytime I email about forum issues, I get a response within a few hours....

At any rate. Hopefully in the next week, we can get the doors opened again. Until then, let your friends know that we want them here, and we are doing our best to get things running smoothly again.
