Can't understand your x-GF? People who are working in the prohibition industries seem to think whether or not one is addicted is more important than whether or not the substance has death potential or medical benefits.

I wish you luck in finding a better GF. There should be no guilt for wanting to avoid pain, using a substance that doesn't kill, or do any kind of lasting damage. GWTJ

Addiction is a complicated disorder seen as a obsessive drug abuse. Addiction and it is effects over a long time can be devastating on your body. Addiction is not just concerning the drinking, drug or even food use in the actual alcoholic or abuser. Furthermore, it greatly impacts their thinking as well as behavior.

Thanks for those thoughts. I'm probably addicted. Part of the problem is having a job (ha ha! - problem!) that I need to be clear-headed for. That and no real life outside work, though I am working on that. In other words, I am pretty much alternating between always thinking about getting high and thinking about being worried whether I will be a stupid dumb-ass at work when I need to string some coherent thoughts together and get work done.

This morning for example. I have to work tomorrow so I'm thinking, if I have some now will I still be foggy tomorrow? I will either do it and then stay high all day, or else be thinking about it the rest of the day. And then having the same thoughts when I get home from work. There's no physical need, just the nagging in the back of my head telling me it's time to fill the bong!

If I could just enjoy it with no repercussions, no problem. Also I would probably think that there is no addiction. Like if I was independently wealthy or had a job where I didn't need to think too much.

That's just my opinion and if I've offended anyone that was not my intent. (I've got to put this in my signature, seems I piss off people a lot these days)

You've hit the nail on the head.

Addiction is a disease manufactured by the feral corporate parasites who think that if you're relaxing, enjoying life, toking, etc. (not generating profit for shareholders) that you're diseased.

Addiction has long been recognized to mean an unmanageable practice of using drugs or other medication.
When a drug user can't quit getting a medication even if he wants to, it's known as addiction. The encourage is too powerful to management, even if you know the medication is resulting in damage.

Addiction is being able to do without something up to a point then passing that point. I.E. "I can quit smoking cigs. any time I want!" True upto the point where you are addicted.

ADDICTION IS A VERY POOR THEORY OF BEHAVIOR. The only reason anyone believes in it, it gives them excuses for being a schmuck.

Quite simply, addiction is, a loss of self-control

No, that would be crapping your pants. Addiction is the modern version of demonic possession. Ie, if you can understand you want something and will decide to STEAL, or spend all your money to have it, you have not lost your self control. You just utilize it to use your substance of choice.

Only people who believe in loss of self control, are self excusers for poor behavior. Abuse of ANYTHING is poor behavior. Crapping your pants is loss of self control. Buy depends.
