Currently, less than half the unemployed qualify for Employment Insurance benefits, but the government feels that some EI recipients are taking advantage of the system and passing up local job opportunities.

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/polit...al-changes?bn=1

so we are now forced to take a position for 30% wage cut, if it is within 1hr commute. If this job then results in a new layoff, we would be forced to accept a new job with a 30% wage cut. So, IM making $15.00 hrly now, I get laid off and have to take a minimum wage job, because its 70% of my previous wage and an hour across town.

this is just driving down wages and scapegoats the unemployed. there are 6 unemployed persons for every job vacancy.

the feds gave away about $18billion in tax cuts corporate canada to create jobs: where are the jobs?

the feds will spend $21million to send unemployed twice a day, ALERTS BY EMAIL. well, if you did not qualify for benefits and you lost your internet provider due to non payment, how are you to receive the alerts in the first place?

there are 60,000 agriculture industry vacancies that unemployed canadians will now have to consider and AG sector employers will need to exhaust all domestic applicants before exploiting the 15% wage savings for using foreign workers.

employers as well as employees have paid insurance premiums and the $56billion in EI surplus has suddenly diminished to below $10billion, where's the money?

why it that less than half of payers can not claim benefits?

In his decision, the judge says that there may be an issue with how long it has taken to process the files but he says it's unclear that a contractual obligation was created.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012...udget-bill.html

attract the specialized workers, mire them in process. then announce sweeping changes to improve the system: DUMP THE APPLICATION BACKLOG and start over! this is fucking brilliant!

The Conservative government has cut off the flow of some key employment data to the public just as it is about to present new, stricter rules on Employment Insurance.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012/05/23/employment-insurance-data.html

here's transparency: TRUST US!

“The true applicant, the Council, is an activist group with a long-standing animus against the Conservative Party,” the Tory motion says.

they're dissenters! critical of the government, they can't possibly be bringing a suit to challenge the vote?

stole the vote, pirate-thieves!

"When the system already suffers from delays, it is unclear how 74 members based in Ottawa will be able to handle the caseload of all appeal tribunals, work currently done by over 1,000 regional experts across Canada," he said in a statement.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012/05/25/pol-employment-insurance-review-boards.html

so squelch access to appeal by backlogs, reduce access to benefits by denying more claims, force workers into 30% wage cuts, this is the new canada, promised by the pirates. a nation of tax slaves.

the government is closing the Canadian consulate in Buffalo only 18 months after spending more than $1.5 million on renovations and signing a 10-year lease that is almost certain to stick taxpayers with millions in rent for empty offices, CBC News has learned.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012/05/25/pol-weston-buffalo-consul.html

hey all this forward spending with the public purse, its a real gas. slurp and squander on the backs of the unemployed, indigent.

"You made promises before and now you're saying we're doing all this, we're doing all this. And it's the same people who said they were going to do it before," she said. " I have to see it. I see it to believe it." .

clean up POLICE ranks: racists and sexual predators are criminals, no matter what their rank. they must be removed from service: by that I don't mean, couple years pay and benefits while a cop tribunal decides no wrong, then transfer to other jurisdiction with either a demotion or promotion. if you or I made these comments to a coworker: fired, sued, done.

It also said Ray's actions have discredited the RCMP, and that his actions have set a poor example.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-co...ed-mountie.html

the poorer example is: continued RCMP employment in another jurisdiction, sent for someone else to manage. YOU CAN'T MANAGE SEXUAL BEHAVIORS. This case has been misidentified as a person with an ALCOHOL PROBLEM when in fact he is a sexual predator with repeated offences in the workplace. the RCMP protects this type of behavior as this case demonstrates. MOJ is complicit as they refuse to move to eliminate bad cops in any jurisdiction.

The Teamsters union says pensions are one of the major sticking points in the talks. That's ironic, Finnson said, because two of the biggest shareholders in CP are the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan and the Canada Pension Plan, which are pension funds.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012/05/28/pol-canadian-pacific-rail-legislation.html

CPP's share value is being eroded. the view that our DELICATE ECONOMY balances on CP rolling stock is preposterous. Employers, line up, the pirates will give you what you want. Organized Employees: bend over and smile!

NDP defence procurement critic Matthew Kellway accused the Tories of covering up their mistakes. “It’s the role of this committee to ask questions,” he said. “They pledged accountability and transparency, so why are they now stopping Parliament from getting to the bottom of the F-35 fiasco?”

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/poli...article2446025/

accountable and transparent: well the numbers were wrong and its clear we're being screwed over.
