Yes I guess..there are hand powered wheat grass juicers but it seems like a lot of work..esp if you are in pain.

From what I gather, you need a very powerful...very slow..under 100 rpm..you don't want heat because it changes the product... I am looking at this puppy...

Looks like a decent unit grassy. Any reason for not just spending the extra $30 for the zero heat Omega Juicer Chrome Model 8006 ?

Just curious, as it looks a little stronger and does list wheatgrass use.

No..none at all. For some reason I was drawn to it's look. When you are looking at so many models my eyes tend to start rolling ...it has a better warranty that what i was looking at..maybe it would outlive me

I now have the answer.

The solostar has a bigger engine, longer auger, and a bigger , 2 stage screen.

For green leafy stuff (read Herb) the Solostar makes about 20% more juice by volume and a quote 40% juice by weight.

Downside, it is larger and takes a minute or 2 longer to clean. they both suck doing carrots but the solostar is a bit better. The warranty is better with the omega but is the company going to around in 15 years..I knew a IBM clone maker that offered 10 year warranties..sold lots and lasted almost 2 years...and flks were surprised

Hey grassy, when/if you get that Solostar could you let us know what it's like? I do it manually at the moment and am thinking of saving up for a proper juicer, I too am a bit bewildered and if you have a good experience with this one then I'd probably be sold.

Plus, I like the name, sorta matches my Solo vapouriser.
